Yeah, I saw articles on both PCPer (who tested it with a 7990) and Guru3D (who tested it with a 6990) and they both showed basically the same improvement. Given the 6990 is closer in architecture to the 5xxx series, I'm happy

Shame it looks like the last workaround for downsampling is broken, though :/

Wait, are they saying that the improvements for frame pacing are only available to those using CFX 7xxx series? YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME. It's not like I've been waiting all year to get my 5970/5850 running without microstutter.

Ya, new beta driver is on the download page. Still no new WHQL driver yet which is odd.
