Edit: It jut hit me. I'm gonna receive 200 gamestop spam emails every time they send some out? Fuck.. :lol
 
I found this joke in my spam box.

"A lady walks into a Lexus dealership and browses.

Suddenly she spots the most perfect, beautiful car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends forward to feel the fine leather upholstery, an unexpected little fart escapes her.

Very embarrassed, she anxiously looks around to see if anyone has noticed and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now. But, as she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman.

With a pleasant smile he greets her, "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?"

Trying to maintain an air of sophistication and acting as though nothing had happened, she smiles back and asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?"

Still smiling pleasantly, he replies, "Madame, I'm very sorry to say that if you farted just touching it, you are gonna shit when you hear the price."
 
I didn't tick the box, I did for the first time I did it, I only got one email. For the rest I didn't.

Let's see what happens.
 
I only ticked it because the last time I wanted to exploit a system (nothing related to Live), if I didn't tick the "yes, i want you to talk to me" box, I would never receive the actual code I wanted of the site.

I'll just add it to the ignore list later, no biggie. :D

It wouldn't on gmail. They'd all combine into one e-mail threaded 100 times or whatever you put in.

I used to do that, I always have the feeling that some promotions only worked if you clicked on all that "spam me please" checkboxes...

I hope this is not the case :(

Haven't all other promotions been automated and sent out immediately? Seeing as they are waiting a day for this one, I would assume they are actually going to look through the list and remove spammers.

after 30 applications i just dunno if im wasting my time or missing out on more points by not continuing.

Some of you guys spent hours trying to exploit this, and than many of you acted smug and arrogant about it. If this doesn't work out for you guys (which it most likely won't), a lot of you have indeed been owned and embarrassed.

Doesn't bother me either way. I'm at work and I'm getting paid regardless if this works or not. If it does, I'm getting paid twice over. :D

So all the people abusing the gmail thing, does gmail sort of tag all of the emails under one conversation or do you literally have 200 new emails sitting in your inbox? :lol

Im so tempted to try this, but theres so many unknowns, the verification code apparently works with any text, so how do you know AMAZON is actually right?

I really don't know how the fuck does it work. I don't know if clicking on the box adds you to a whitelist or not clicking on the box adds you to a blacklist. Either way, since I can just filter every gamestop email after or just the email combination i used, since i have a catch-all domain, I don't care about it.

I don't know if they will, but they should. It's not a hard process. Just look through IPs or values that are the same on the boxes.

However, if they were trying to do some data sanitizing, it's easier to do it BEFORE you populate your database, not after. It's much less process intensive to check if the data you're entering is duplicated/doesn't meet a criteria BEFORE you store all that shit.

It stopped at 233, which is about how many times i entered the thing (counting the numbers i skipped because i lost count).

There is a limit of a total of one (1) entry per person per day, including both pre-order transaction methods of entry and online entries. If it is suspected that an entrant submits more than one entry per day, only the first entry will count.
