Has anyone heard any news/rumors if Freedom Fighters 2 is going to be made?

Dear Aaron,
Thank you for your letter and thank you for being a fan of our Freedom Fighters. At the moment IO Interactive is not working on FF2, but we are considering it.
Kind regards,

John Harker said:Well, it uses the same engine.
The squad control is done the exact same way in K&L that it is in Freedom Fighters.
When I was demoing it, it felt like FF... but a lot more graphic, and a lot more copkilling :lol
Best way to describe the game is a cross between Freedom Fighters and a Michael Mann movie.
Reminded me a lot of Collatoral/Heat. The club scene and the bank robbing scene, respectively.

It's been that long? God damn. I guess I don't realize how old FF has gotten.tegdf said:yeah, over 2 years ago

FF's formula is perfect the way it is. If they make a sequel I really hope they don't try to shoe-horn in sand box mechanics.ParticleReality said:FF2 should be based on a Red Dawn type situation where on the day of the invasion, teenagers from a local high school(in a small town) must band together in order to survive and defeat the Red Army.
I hope its alot more sand-boxy and you can spend time blowing up supply trucks and rescuing people. After awhile you have this massive group and territories under your control, ready to kick Red Army ass.
