I recently got into Punk music.
Actually quite enjoyable. Not as suitable to going to war as Viking Battle Music but it's good for "dating" and hanging.

My weekend was awesome!
How was everyone elses?

Weekend went by too fast, and I still have work I have to do today. But I'll probably put the Grammys on in the background. I've got a few friends with some nominations so I hope they win!

Can't believe it's already February though. Time is both moving too fast, and also painfully slow.

I love a good superbowl party, mainly for all the unhealthy food and drinks though

supermarkets are going ham, i bought 2 pancake batter thingies and a bottle of syrup

I got into Anti-Flag, always liked Bad Religion and Pennywise but reconnected with it.
 


windir singer died while hiking in a snow storm, band didnt want to continue under the windir banner. 'journey to the end' is a great song of theirs. follow-up band Vreid has the brother of the dead singer come to cover the song. Love the guitar on 2:16.
I'm crying at my computer for my dead friend Peter, who died on the 18th of January. Journey to an too early end.
 
My car insurance renewal has gone from £25 a month to £45 a month for fully comprehensive all bells and whistles cover. Every comparison site I've used are similar or worse. Punished for getting a new car I guess.

Owning a car has become fucking unaffordable. And I'm not even talking about the speeding tickets.

It's basically a second rent now with insurance & the gas prices.

I'm lucky to have always been a city boy with all services centralized near my home.
I don't have friends or family out of state needing a car to go visit.
Hell, I don't even have a driver's license.

But on the other hand you do get the freedom to go wherever you want quick.

And don't get me started on motorcycles.
I have a friend who pays a fortune just to enjoy her bike for 5 maybe 6 months out of the year.

I agree!

If I didn't have my retarded monkeys I'd definitely wouldn't own a car.
Our public transport system here is awesome. But travelling with the kids (and I mean just getting to my mum's place) is insanely stressful and takes about half a day instead of a 10 minutes car ride.

I've got three cars that I pay the insurance on: mine, my wife's, and my son's (only paying it til he's out of college). Every six months its $1,800, about $100/month/car. Mine is a 2013, my wife's car is a 2015, and my son's car is a 2017, so they're almost at least 9 years old and fully paid off. None of us have ever had so much as a speeding ticket. And gas here is over $4/gal.

On top of that, both my wife and I's cars are hybrids, and because they get over 40mpg the state charges us an extra $30 each on the tags getting renewed. Tag renewals are now $216 every two years.

Unfortunately I live in a part of the country where cars are a necessity since the nearest grocery store is about 5 miles from where I live and the doctor's offices / hospital is about 10. But damn if I'm not over here just feeling like I'm getting bled dry all the time.
