FRIDAY NIGHT [OT2] - Official NeoGAF Weekend Kickoff REDUX

Of course I'm saying that. You're a freak, you know that 😊.
Fuck you nush nush .

Enough now. He didn't. Get over it.
Then what's this directed towards to?

"
It's like you were born online and never looked at the sky outside or felt someone brushing your arm on the subway.
"

Don't leave 🙂

It's just my opinion.
You could've just said my work wasn't for you and I would've gotten the message, but you went to the extra mile and became dismissive and personal about it. At that point it stopped being criticism and just turned into you trying to put me down on my values, efforts, etc.

You can go on saying that I'm being dramatic, but all I asked was just help with a drawing that had no relation to my chapters, and you took this opportunity to unload a bunch of personal attacks and assumptions about me as if you had these ready for the right time ;-;

Agave Agave my criticism was too harsh and for that I'm sorry.

You can add me in one of your stories as a dumbass bully.

"So this dummy John Marston (who is not even a real cowboy) doesn't understand my Art and attacked me..."

The hell is your problem??

You're reading the tone of the text wrong, IMO. It's not supposed to be an insult.

Gentlemen, I need some help with my drawing here. Mainly for the background, for I don't know what to put. I originally put sprites of a Goomba, Blooper, Boo and Cheep Cheep in reference of the Yoshi game '91, but it looked too tacky and overwhelming

Any ideas?

If you want some feedback, I would say keep it simple and add a non-distracting background. Like this.

Apologies usually deescalate a situation.
Nothing much else I can do.

Then you became a passive-aggressive bitch by adding another snarky comment about my work that you hate

"

"So this dummy John Marston (who is not even a real cowboy) doesn't understand my Art and attacked me..."
"

You don't just apologize for your action then immediately repeat them again in THE SAME COMMENT

I think a lot of this would be squashed if you all could sit down at a bar and talk it out over a beer or 6. Or, maybe you would try and poke each others eyes out. Either way, I'm enjoying my Sunday evening brews.

That GIF hurts my throat just watching it 😆
That's some Linda Lovelace stuff right there.

so japan was fun. not for my feet though! i was doing about 25,000 steps a day. did pretty much everything i wanted to do. some things were awesome and some a bit underwhelming but overall had a great time! would love to go back again.

sunday: i got there about 6pm. got the monorail and train to akihabara. i thought it'd be easy finding my hotel but was wandering about lost, tired, and confused for a bit. the flight from london wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be. it took about 14 hours and flew through europe/middle east/china. i had hoped to drop my stuff at the hotel and go wandering but i was too tired.

monday: i went to senso-ji shrine and just wandered about. sat under the motorway by the river for a while then around near the skytree. headed to shibuya to see the crossing and good boy hachiko. went to the pokemon/nintendo/sega store but didn't buy anything. went back to akihabara at night.

tuesday: spent the morning at the cat cafe. my favourite kittys were Shoe, Oreo, Kyon, Kojiro, and Anna but they were all cute! Some were still sleeping or didn't want to be disturbed. Wandered about again. Saw a shop with Persona art up but wasn't much to buy. Was thinking about going on a tour bus but it was just a standard bus and i wasn't paying to sit on it. I'd rather just walk around exploring myself. So i sat around Tokyo station for a while then headed to the Skytree. I had a ticket to go to the top floor but i must've walked the wrong way and couldn't go back to get up. The view was amazing and that's when the absolute size and scale of Tokyo started to sink in. After that I used some gacha machines but was overall disappointed with them. I didn't recognise a lot of the stuff and wasn't much variety. I thought there'd be more popular things in them but there were only even just a few Pokemon ones. at night i went to the pub and had some beers. got drunk and headed to Shinjuku and found another pub. was just walking around and got lost trying to find the train station lol.

wednesday: got up early and went to the shinkansen. the stupid app i was using set the date as the 13th and i didn't notice so bought a ticket for the wrong date! felt like an idiot trying to get through the gate lol. luckily managed to get a refund for most of the cost and bought another ticket. the train itself was not that exciting. quite uncomfortable but impressively fast. i wish we had trains that fast here. got off at Shin Osaka and then got the train to Osaka. was trying to find the Pokemon store and got lost again! This store seemed to have a better variety of stuff than the one in Shibuya. I wish I had bought some Zelda stuff there. Got a bunch of Pokemon stuff though. got another train to Dontonbori. I had planned to get a train to Kyoto but couldn't find my way there. I got on a train but didn't realise I had to buy a special ticket so had to get off. At this point my feet were killing me and I decided just to head back to Tokyo. It's a good thing I did because most of the return trains were sold out so I had to get an unreserved ticket. If I had got on a Kyoto i'd be standing all the way back. when i got back to Tokyo i went for some more beer and had some food.

thursday: had ramen for breakfast (it was absolutely beautiful) and then went to the teamlabs borderless. well before that i went to see the tokyo tower. didn't go up it though. the borderless thing was cool but a bit disappointing. didn't stay long. after that i saw someone taking photos with a disposable camera and wanted to get one so went to Don Quixote store in Shibuya and bought a couple of them along. Went back to the Nintendo/Sega store. Got more Persona stuff. I wanted a Tom Nook plushie but couldn't be assed standing in the queue just for one thing. Went up to the Shibuya Sky observatory place which was by far the best view of the city. Forget the Skytree. Didn't go up the Tokyo tower but don't imagine it'd be better. Again the size of Tokyo just blew me away. If you only go to one place to get a view then it has to be Shibuya Sky. That night I again headed to the pub and then got a train to Sagenjaya.

friday: headed to Shinjuku again for the park/garden. Then back into Shinjuku. saw the "3D" cat ad which was cute. At first I was like what the hell is that loud meow? lol. Tried to get to Kichijoji but got lost on the train. Eventually got there and explored around for a while. Went back to Akihabara. I was thinking about buying a game for my Switch 2. Was going to get either Persona 5 Royal or Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance but didn't buy either. Wish I had got SMTV. I've already played it on PS5/PC so whatever.

saturday: went to another shrine place. Meiji-jingu. went back around the area near Tokyo Tower. tried to get to Shinagawa but got lost on the train again lol. Headed back to Akihabara. I was absolutely exhausted so slept for a while. Around 11:30 i went back out to wander around Akihabara, got some beers out the 7/11, and then had some midnight ramen. I couldn't sleep because I was worried I'd sleep in for my flight so I stayed up to until about 5AM when I left the hotel to go to Haneda. the flight back headed up by the side of russia to alaska, over canada, greenland, iceland, and down to london. i managed to sleep for about 5-6 hours so went in much quicker and was more comfortable.

You spent a week getting lost, exhausted, overstimulated, slightly drunk, and living off noodles. So Japan is the anime version of New York?

i guess so lol. i've only been to new york once.

it was very exhausting and overstimulating. at times i was limping and everywhere is so busy with bright lights and sounds playing. i think by the end of the trip i was starting to get annoyed with the noises. i get a lot of it is for accessibility but omg it was starting to drive me mad.

Did you take any photos?

Lmao no. Always judging my intentions.

I'm talking about actual business cards since apparently everyone and their literal grandma has one over there.
i thought you were asking about maid cafes

but either way. none. i have a bunch of receipts and maps though. still got some coins and a 1000 yen note. i would've got more ramen with the note if i didn't end up with the ol' rumpus. beautiful food but runs the guts out you for fun.

I've never been to Japan but fuck a city. I'd rather visit the countryside. With a car that's not available here.
i'm a city person. i don't mind some countryside but i am happiest in a huge crowded city with towering skyscrapers, busy traffic, and riding trains. not a beach kind of person so fuck those places.

Big modern Asian cities are amazing, lived in one for many years but It's still nice to get a break out in the country. British city's? Fuuuck that.

But you tired dawg
because i enjoyed it so much. i honestly feel i'd need a good few months to fully experience Tokyo. felt like i only saw a fraction of it.

i want to go somewhere in China. maybe Seoul.

I love London and definitely gonna go back in the next month or so but doesn't compare to Tokyo. Both great cities for different reasons. I think London is more relaxing and chill. still busy and big but not as intense or overwhelming.
