Frog Fractions 2 Spotted At GDC

Alternatively, in the case Desert Golfing isn't Frog Fractions 2, MGSV might be.

Wait... have people actually finished Desert Golfing? I feel like I heard about people hitting the 10,000th hole and still not reaching the end, which makes my climb at hole 2,264 seem like an awful daunting task.

I wish I could see how much time I'd put into this fucking game.

If it is Desert Golfing people must have missed a trick, it wouldn't be about simply progressing.

God dammit, Frog Fractions is great. I remember when I played it, I was right on the cusp of giving up when it revealed itself to me.

"I guess it's kinda funny? I don't really understand what the big deal is at all. I'm just flying around and - oh. Oh my god. I see."

And then my life was never the same.

Jim is a weird (and hilarious) dude, but he has a really interesting take on a lot of games. If this is all coming to a head now I can't wait fir the post-GDC Videogames Hotdog.

I've been an avid Bombcast listener since their beginning and never put much thought into the FF2 thing and thought it was just some joke I missed. Never made time for the game. Tonight I played it. yea its great. But it doesn't answer the question of why everyone claims every game is FF2.

Although I think I get it from reading some of the posts, just telling people to play frog fractions doesn't really answer that question.

I saw it today on the show floor and got super excited. Then I watched the dude play desert golfing for 10 minutes straight and I feel like I was just being trolled

10/10 FF2 best game 2015

The premise of the Kickstarter for FF2 is that everyone was funding a mystery game and would receive absolutely no details about what it is or when it would launch, so it's up to users to figure out what the game is. Once you figure out what the game is, you can e-mail the dev and claim your download code. When The Jig is Up, I think download codes go out to all eligible backers.

The creator Kickstarted a sequel, but he's not going to publicize the release. It will just show up somewhere on the internet under a completely different name. For all we know it's already out there somewhere.

Hence all the "Is this Frog Fractions 2?" jokes.

The great thing about FF is that no one knew what was coming. It started out looking like some simple edutainment game, then went way left-field.
So in order to replicate that, Frog Fractions 2 isn't going to be named Frog Fractions 2, its going to be something completely innocuous, so that when someone plays it they will be caught off guard once again.

I am super jealous of anyone that can go into frog fractions fresh. that was a god damn experience.

how do you post on GAF and not know the story behind frog fractions after like two years? I didn't know that was possible.

Desert Golf sounds like it goes on forever. Kind of doubting it's the real thing.

Maybe it's just a stealthy release announcement, and the Desert Golf devs let the sign be put on their stall for a little while.

Or maybe it's just a troll that has nothing to do with either devs at all and some guy thought it would be funny to put this up.

Honestly, hahaha.

Although they have a gift we don't. The gift of possibility. Frog Fractions is like biting into the forbidden apple. All questions are answered, all mystery and magic drained from the world in one swift and beautiful deluge.

But for that moment... that fleeting ride...

Ecstasy.

I had Desert Golf, got to 1,000 (or 10,000?) and played a few more holes, but then updated my phone and lost all my progress. So fuck it.

Desert Golf actually looks great. I'm bloody sick of sport games that involve a timing-bar. Especially one with an "optimum" point pointed out for you, it's unintuitive for a multitude of reasons. Has there been a golf game like this before? It's practically revolutionary for golf games, it's just that it's nothing but a base game. But it's pretty much undone 20+ years of bad golf game design.

I was convinced that Frog Fractions was a weird "edutainment" game for kids for the longest time...until today. I don't know what I expected. Can't believe I missed that phenomenon.

Somehow frog fractions 2 was inserted into carts of "chester cheetah: too cool to fool" for snes. There's a second ROM chip which needs to be soldered to the board and then it boots frog fractions 2.

Oh my god.

Imagine if Frog Fractions 2 was inserted into Street Fighter 2 cartridges, but you wouldn't know which ones. eBay would explode.
