In Demon Souls there couldn't be a diference higher than 15 levels or so.

During past Halloweens, Demon's Souls World Tendency turned into into pure black, meaning tougher enemies and Black NPC Phantoms running everywhere, so I'm pretty sure they're preparing something as sadistic as that for Dark Souls.Lyonaz said:I hope From Software does this with Halloween or other holidays, sending maxed out characters to invade you.

That's how I feel about it. Dying over and over again for not doing anything wrong? That's not fun. What makes Demon's Souls fun is the fact that you know HOW you died and you can get better next time. Having some overpowered character come in and wipe you out repeatedly just isn't fun.
They get to meet the devs, though. It's like free pre-order bonus content! It just happens not to be fun for the player.ultron87 said:Yeah, let's punish the people who were enthusiastic about it enough to find a store that was selling it early.

Learning that this enemy was one of the people who made the game and that my only crime was buying the game legally at a store wouldn't exactly endear me to the game.

I really think these people are masochists or are just saying it's awesome because it isn't happening to them. I just don't see how it's fun.ultron87 said:If I've been struggling on a level and am finally making some progress only to get smited by a random unstoppable god of death it sure isn't fun.
It's not that bad - The buyer and store both know the release date, and it's not like they're banning anyone or deleting saves.nib95 said:Why is this awesome? If a shop sells the game early why should the end user suffer?
ultron87 said:Isn't Demon's Souls praised because it is hard yet ultimately entirely fair? IE it is only your fault when you die?

There are some paths that you aren't expected to survive unless you're revisiting the area at a higher level, yes.nib95 said:So wait, in the game you can turn the wrong corner and accidentally run in to maxed out un-defeatable enemies?
