I used to look up movies after watching them on IMDB. Now I look them up on TV Tropes instead; it's far more informative. I've probably spent more time getting lost on Wikipedia though.

In my experience, tropers routinely treat every single trope they've read like a horrible cliche that needs to be scorned regardless of execution.

Actually there's a page that explains how tropes aren't bad. It's a common misconception, I guess. It just shows how all forms of media seem to have some common themes within them.

I really like the site. Has anyone looked at the Troper Tales page?

For some reason every time I go to TV Tropes now it says I'm Forbidden (403 error.) By that I mean the main page of TV Tropes, not any particular article.
