Fuck video games, man.

Im 35,getting married next year, and I still get excited about new releases. Heck , I just took a train down during lunch hour to collect fire emblem warriors

I don’t play much these days tho. Probably 3 hours in a week in Total.

Finding time to do the things you love is kind of a crappy part of growing up, but its also an essential part of staying sane and happy.

Find time. Even if just a little. Don't sleep on it. Of course, you don't want to sacrifice the things that really matter to you, but finding time is essential.

You love video games. You will make time.

Limited time will also change your habits. You won't buy stuff you're not sure you'll like, and you'll possibly spend more time with games you really like. My habits have changed over the last couple years. I used to buy tons of games every month and put the minimum required time to finish each one. Nowadays I pick up maybe 2 games in a month, and I spend a lot of time with each one, doing as much post game content as I can, even if its a little at a time.

"Fuck video games"

immediately followed by

"I love video games"

That's neogaf all right

I'm pretty sure he means, "Fuck. Video games, man."

His inebriation destroyed his punctuation skills, which I have no doubt are normally impeccable.

You are going to regret this in the morning. At least your saying it to a bunch of rando's on the internet.

My job isn't super busy but as you get older you start realizing just how much of a time sink a lot of games are. I don't regret anything, but it can be hard to balance gaming with life responsibilities and other hobbies...

No I actually think I got it right. Fuck video games, man. Don't mean I can't still love them.

Don't even know where to start. So many quotes I wanna quote and add my own quote too then quote again. Not gonna do that. Too out of it. I read all your posts. Thabks gaf. It can suck, damn man.

I'm 30 and since about 18 I've made a choice not to make myself a "busy" life.
I work 8 hours Monday to Friday, very rarely do I accept overtime. I don't need the money, and I sure as hell dont owe the company anything.

I have a girlfriend and a couple of dogs, but no kids yet. I even told her before we got serious that I appreciate a quiet life without unnecessary stress and hoopla.

The result is I do have lots of time too chill and play games.

Is it the "correct" way to live as a 30 year old? I dunno.. Some might even call it lazy. But I sure as hell know I'm not gonna grow old to regret I worked away my life.

It is probably time to start thinking about kids though. 🤣

Edit: I want to add that already as a young teenager I've never had a real need to socialise. I'm pretty happy in my own company, and very rarely feel the need to see other people outside of work and the odd party.

As a kid: Man, this game is 100 hours long! I can't wait!

As an adult: Man, this game is 100 hours long... I think I'll pass.

This haha, getting tired of these endless 'multiplayer' games. Wish there were more AAA games the length of Uncharted 4... 20-30, not 60-100h.

(I love RPG's, so they all feel 100h to me)

You're still young, man...been playing since the early 80's

I played a lot of video games in some periods of my time, then I stopped for 4-5 years, came back again, stopped again for 4-5 years, came back...

A hardly played anything on my PS3 but I'm playing much more on my PS4 that I ever played any other console, and that is the case for many of my friends in our 40's

There's a time when people have kids and stop going out that getting toguether to play video games is like the only way to keep in touch with your old gang ;)

Put the juice down and go to sleep.

We love you too.

This thread is too real.

I've gone from having so much free time / no money / no commitments to no free time / decent disposable income / countless commitments, yet videogames remain in the forefront of my mind at all times.

As people have mentioned, you have to find time for yourself to stay sane, but it can be super hard sometimes, especially when you have work pressures, and other dependents.

Still, games, eh?

I love them so much, they have been a huge part of my life. I had a shitty childhood in a lot of ways, and my solice in video games has always been what pushed me through.

But now, I'm older. And I'm not even that old, I'm 28. But finding time for video games, these things I truly love, between my responsibilities, it's fucking hard.

This leads to me being pissed at myself for not playing certain games as much as I should. But even if I had the time, would they be as good?

I dunno, not even gonna lie at all, I'm drunk. But fuck man. I love video games so god damned much. I love you gaf.

Would have had time if you didn't drink and post here. :p

I will never understand the complaint about people not finding the time to do certain things.

Spending less time doing shitty pulls in Dokkan Battle should help :"")

love me some xbox game achievements. hope to get over 100 games completed before i die.

fucking games is right. imagine what we would all be doing if there where no video games? maybe maping the stars? space exploration?

nah, games rule

Bad advice but... I've been ignoring my friends for a month and been having more time and money to spend on games. Studying in trade school and being self employed help.
