Funny SNL Digital Short (4/15)

Awesome. :lol Andy Samberg is the best thing to happen to SNL since Mike Meyers. It's a shame the show found him now, while it's at such a low point. Even knowing that Samberg could drop a bomb like this, Lazy Sunday, Laser Cats or Dick in a Box isn't enough to make me sit through the horror that SNL has become. I typically just wait for the youtubes. :/

i only saw the "sofa king" skit last night and that was a blatant ripoff of that old internet picture

It doesn't really tax the imagination too hard to make the "Sofa King" joke.

My blog is getting a whole lot of hits for "sofa king snl", is this because of some sort of internet phenomenon I'm unaware of? Because the skit itself wasn't funny in the least.

Imogen Heap-Hide and Seek

First time I ever heard the song was on Smith (the CBS show with Ray Liotta that got canceled) during the final scenes of the pilot episode, which went perfect with what happened. I guess the familiarity with the song got a few laughs outta me, too.

can someone link to the Sofa King digital short? I can't seem to find it, yes I really looked (on YouTube).

I have sadly seen the episode of the OC in question. He shoots his brother for seemingly no reason. Then it's all dramatic. Then "Come back next season!"

The best part about the digital short was how each time the gun fired the music started over.

That figures. Taken on it's own, the first minute and a half is easily the best piece of absurdist comedy I've ever seen. It only makes sense that it's ripping off a terrible drama.

Not sure if it was suggested in the thread already but the ending to The Departed needs to be edited with MMM WHATCHA SAYYYY

It was funny when I watched it this morning and it's still funny now that I'm going to bed. The dramatic faces. The faux artsyness of it. The death poses. The shooting poses. Very nice piece of work. :)

:lol

I would do it but I'm sure someone's already working on it so I'd be wasting time

Meh. I understand the reference (now) but I'm still not seeing the funny. The midget and her handler on Amazing Race tonight were more entertaining. It's hard to top a midget being pushed through an airport terminal on wheel shoes.

Goddamn song's stuck in my head now.

Guh, same here. Had to buy it on iTunes. :'( Awesome song though.

Had no idea the short was mocking The OC, and I still thought it was funny, especially when the cops come in.

I was watching The Departed last night and I laughed my ass off at the end when
everyone got shot in the elevator. DiCaprio gets shot (Mmmm what you saay), Fat black cop gets shot few seconds later (MMmmm what you say), Evil mole gets shot few seconds later (Mmmm what you saaay).

:lol

That's strike 2. You have no sense of humor at all.

I'M WATCHING YOU BLUEMAX

The short for this topic was mildly amusing, although like a lot of SNL these days went a tad too long.

Andy Samberg "popping into frame" I just don't get.

Damn, I didn't know how popular that scene was. Some guy made a nice spoof to Smallville of it.

Great, now I'm going to have that dang song in my head unless I blow it out, with a bullet!! *boom*

Mmm, what you sayyyyy? Mm, that you only meant welllllllll? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you sayyyyy? Mm, that it's all for the besttttttttt? Ah of course it is.
Mmm, what you sayyyyy? Mm, that it's just what we needdd? And you decided this.
Mmm what you sayyyyyy? What did she say?

Someone needs to set that song to the scene where Neo get's shot several times by Smith at the end of The Matrix.

IT BEGS TO BE DONE.

What's the name/artist of that song anyway?
It's "Hide & Seek" by Imogen Heep.

Edit: Wow... how did I miss that there was a whole second page to this thread..?
