Future for the Red Dead series.. info soon?

My hunting knife is ready.

My salty cougar-caused tears are ready.

I still think the best route to go is for the next RDR to be a prequel.

I would love to see John Marston running with the old gang, and the consequences that come from that!

I'd also like to see it set in the 1800's and not 1911, like this game. No cars in my western please!!! :)

A Marston origin story, leaping through many years, leading to his eventual dissolution with the gang would be pretty great. I'd throw money at this game.

Hope it's a prequel.

I don't want big cities or modern tech in the next one.

I'd rather see a new cast with some nods to the old characters, but you're right in that the series did something interesting in 1910, but needs to be in the 1800s.

Even though they've always denied it before, I actually think this could be a PC port.

I mean I'd love another RDR, the first one is one of my favourite games ever, but it seems too soon. Not to mention that they've barely let GTA V out of the bag which will probably be their focus for a while.

And I agree with everyone saying it should be a prequel. Makes sense, can't see then going even more modern than Redemption. Getting a little too close to GTA territory at that point.

- 1864-1880s
- half Mexican or half Indian character
- keep all side activities
- more strangers
- world large enough that I can do a realistic cattle drive
- be able to buy my own farm and upgrade parts of it, unlocking side activies (buy a barn, get cattle buying/rustling missions; buy a horse pen, unlock horse breaking).
- let me steal a train
- more thieving activities, period (let me hold up stages)

Oh and you can add an extra 2-3 years development until next gen if they'll just bring RDR to PC.

I like how you think.

You're in for a disappointment.

Damn it why can't people come to term with the fact that RDR won't come to PC ? It has already been confirmed by Rockstar themselves !

Regarding the future, a prequel would be great.

What do we know about Agent? Seems like every Rockstar thread has someone saying that they want Agent instead of X game.
Not much.

The game is set during the Cold War and will take players into "the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations". Set in the 1970's. Sounds pretty damn cool, but that's all we got on it. Oh, and the logo.

I've still yet to play RDR. Tried several times, but the beginning portion is so dull, it kills my interest every time. But damn it all, I will get through it one of these days.

YES! RDR is hands down Rockstars best game this gen. Can't wait.

Please god come out for PC. This is by far one of the best games I have ever played. Rockstar, if you ever read this, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, you're probably right. And honestly I'm not that concerned about it, I've already beaten it three times at this point. I just don't know what else they'd have to say about Red Dead in the near future. Unless what they're referring to is a ways off from now, it seems way too early for anything concrete about a new game.

It'll certainly come eventually. You garner that much acclaim and sell 13.5 million copies, it'd be crazy not to make another one. I just don't think we'll hear anything about it for a while.

I would love to have some sort of farm management.

Has R* ever been one to run stuff into the ground, though? I think even people who aren't into Rockstar's games would agree that they put a lot of time and effort into the sequels for their franchises.

I feel RDR was as definitive as the Western setting goes I really don't know what they could possibly add to it
