nah.. Zelda TP sold about 7 millions (GC numbers combined) and DS sold about 5 millions.. Which means both sold more or about equal to the last mainline Final fantasy (meaning 12)Cheebs said:not to mention Mario Galaxy sold 8 million copies. Not relevant. At all. I'd say it's possible to argue Zelda is less relevant than it used to be, but not Mario. Not at all.

Nintendo may have been the least impressive overall, but they delivered the biggest improvement. The 2008 conference was a complete joke while they actually managed to deliver content for casual and hardcore gamers this time around.
Wait, really? Wii Music is the joke of the generation for me. Wii Music is just one of the reasons I found their conference last year to be so painful. I mean, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, Wii Sports Resort, etc. are all incredibly unappealing.I think the biggest dissapointment was that Nintendo did not show up Wii Music 2.. with Nintendo tunes.. and a song creation mode..
I loved Wii Music..

To each his own, however...
I think it's fascinating what people are doing with it, but that doesn't change the fact that the game itself is weak, the samples are terrible, and it requires a lot of effort to extract any fun. If you have the patience and time to do something like that, more power to you, but even the best NicoNico vids left me unimpressed in that they sound like shit. The best vids simply mix real music something from Wii Music. That's not even a feature within the game.farnham said:visit the official wii music thread (if you have any open mind to discover the greatness of wii music)
and you will find why people think wii music was great

Nintendo a C or D.
Agree almost 100% though I'd change Microsoft's presentation skills to a B+.Woffls said:Content
Microsoft - B+ (Lots of games, cool tech)
Nintendo - C+ (Megaton games, not much else, lame tech)
Sony - B (Lots of games, shown in depth, lame tech)
Announcements
Microsoft - A- (Rising!?, waving at the TV, Milo, more Halo)
Nintendo - A- (Megatons: Galaxy, Metroid, Mario Bros... shame only one is 2009)
Sony - C- (Most made already, MGS on PSP)
Presentation Skillz and Not Being Shit-Ass Boring
Microsoft - B- (Just good)
Nintendo - A (Well structured, cool stuff to break up the boring shit before wishing for swift death, brutal ending, Reggie's still got it)
Sony - F for FAIL-FUCKING-TASTIC. (Numbers, montage, numbers, montage...)

They don't care about Mario like they used too. I'm not saying Mario sucks or doesn't sell, I'm just saying that the journalists who report on things like E3, don't get excited as they used to about a new Mario, Zelda, or Metroid which is reflected in the E3 conference grades.
tell me, what was the GOTY 2007?jedimike said:You're missing the point...
