GAF Forza Car Club?

Just go into Optimatch and search for buy/ sell cars. It takes you to a lobby where you can check out the cars in people's garages and talk to them. Some guy already had a Saleen yesterday and another guy had some limited edition Mustang. BTW, you get more money if you sell a car online rather than if you sell it in career mode. If you have something you've built, or something you won that is rare, sell it online and you get 15-20% more cash.
 
Got some track time in last night. Mainly went through arcade mode to get a feel for the game. First impressions, damn the brake is touchy. Had to alter the way I drive a bit but not too much of a learning curve. The fanatec wheel is pretty much what I thought it would be. Not quite ff but it fakes it good enough for me. The pedals don't have as much travel in them as I'm used to, but they feel good and don't move around too much while racing.

The kids want to see thier mom this weekend so I hope to see some of you online then.
 
hey has anyone else seen Colony posters or billboards in this game? I could have sworn I saw one but when I watched the replay I couldnt find it. I then played the same track again (Shipyards II) and I was keeping an eye out for it and didnt see it. maybe i just need sleep

Ironically, I don't have my retail copy yet as it's still in the mail. :P So I'm still stuck in review build / debug land.

Let's at least get one designed in illustrator or photoshop...

I was a 1/10th of a second too slow. It's tough with everyone else using all the assists on their runs. I'm not bitter at all though :). Going to work on career mode this weekend, so I have something to race online .
 
i got to see and play this for a few hours at indigoalpha/fujisawa's place... on his brand new HD projector no less.

fucking stunning. better then i had previously thought it would be, and gorgeous to boot.

i also picked mine up about 30 min ago from fry's (34.99 :)), so maybe i'll see you guys on soon
 
Ah, one thing I don't like about Forza is how you can't start a server that enforces everyone to turn off their driving aids. :(

I don't use any aids except for ABS... but what's to stop others from competing with me on the same level? Honesty?
 
Any idea if Forza is region free like some Xbox games are..? I could save ~20 euros if I imported it from US... thanks to very low value of US dollar.

eh, i havent spent enough time playing the game (or any time on live yet :P), but if its like most games, the aids are only there to help out people who otherwise arent that good. i'd imagine most decent people at the game will have them off eventually. in gt for example, dont some of the aids actually hinder you a bit?
 
Yeah, aids in GT generally ruin your cornering speed I find. I know I usually pick up a lot of time once I turn them off.

I've moved recently and have been having issues with my DSL company. Looks like i'm going to be w/o GAF for weeks (except when I'm at work like now). SUCKS.

gamertag: salparadisejr for invite if this crap ever get's straightened out. I wanna take my Mazda3 online. Bastards.

I don't see a problem with the driving aids. In real life all these aids are used in real racing the only time I see someone turning these off is if the want a different driving style; Aka Drifting. Anyhoo...Turning off the Driving Aid lines is huge.

gamertags crossover from xbox to xbox 360. (at least afaik anyways, it's the only thing that makes sense)

but then i'd have to cancel the invite i already sent out to you and you wouldn't want to lose your name nrXic now would you =D You've had that name for years on GA and Live :)

Becuase you cant hang with people who use aids? You should be able to kick their ass since the aids limit you.

It doesn't help me... It makes me the Nurburgring fucking MASTER. With a track that long and fast it's nice to know when to brake and when to just let off the gas and fly through turns.
