I had a bunch years ago when I was like 20 or so. You can slowly tell when you're starting to get them because your kidney regions start to feel sore and you have to piss all the time.

I remember waking up that morning in probably the most pain I've ever been in. I vomited until nothing was coming up anymore, I had the constant feeling of needing to piss really badly but nothing would come out and I felt cold clammy and about to die.

Tried to fight it for an hour and then said fuck it let's go to the hospital, and since I live in Canada the emergency trip was free. Got put on morphine and must've passed them while I was out of it. The scans they did on me showed that the kidney stone was almost the size of a pea.

They run in the family but now I drink a metric fuck tonne of water to help stave them off and have pretty much almost stopped drinking soda completely.

I feel bad for anyone else that has to endure them.

I was told by a doctor that they can form if you take aspirin without at least half a glass of water. Over the years that is...
 
I had one of these recently. Worst pain I ever felt. I woke up one morning and my side was sore. Felt kind of like I pulled a muscle or something. Then all of a sudden it felt like someone snuck up behind me and stabbed me in the side. Started vomiting from the pain and eventually went to to hospital. Doctor pretty much said congratulations on the kidney stone and sent me home with some pain meds. Stay strong OP.
 
BTW...drinking water has absolutely nothing to do with preventing Kidney stones.

If you have a lot of calcium...you're going to get one potentially.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...

but eventually.

You can only pass the kidney stone via ejaculation if the stone has made some progress. I don't think this method is common, but it is possible as we learned this evening.
 
I had a private theater screening in the morning for Captain America Winter Soldier back in March. Got into the car and while driving I had this massive pain and didn't think anything of it. Shit was intense though. So I sat through the movie with no pain and even went out shopping for a couple of hours then I really had to pee. So I got back home.....and it was blood.

Then the side pain started, constant throbbing in my side and after 2hrs of that pain I said fuck it and went to the hospital.

Kidney stone...Lucky the wait at the hospital was not bad. It could have been atleast 7hrs wait time and it was Saturday night also. Got crazy meds during my 2hrs at the hospital and I was sitting pretty fro the results lol. Got meds for the next week.

I changed everything after that day. No more caffeine, no soda, no chocolate, sugar reduction in foods and I go through a ton of water a day now. The crappy part about the whole thing also it took atleast 3 weeks before I could have any "happy time" again for the healing process lol...
 
I passed two kidney stones in four days. It was the worst pain off my life. Was throwing up constantly before passing out. The second stone wasn't as big, but the first one did a pretty good job of shredding the insides. So the second tube was passing through inflamed plumbing.

One of the doctors at the hospital told me to cut down or eliminate my black tea intake, which I was having like 2 - 4 cups a day at least.

Thankfully no more kidney stones (that I can feel anyways) after doing away with black tea all together. Though I may have a cup a couple times a year.
 
welcome to the club- I passed one 16 years ago in a restroom- and blacked out from the pain- my buddy thank god was at the bar with me and managed to find me before anyone else.

havent had any since then-easily the worst pain I have experienced in my life- and I have had bones broken, teeth extracted with no pain relief and 3rd degree burned.

Had a CT scan not long ago. One good thing, no evidence of kidney stones. Not that they were looking for that, but it was just a nice comment.
 
About a year ago I passed a kidney stone. I had intermittent pain ever since my son's birth (Got a hernia lifting my wife during labor so that she could more easily deliver), so I just assumed it was that and to take things easy.

Last summer I started drinking lots of coffee and water. Coffee, works your kidney's, major diuretic and numbs bladder pain. Water, don't get dehydrated from all the coffee.

I was at work going number two and then felt the need to pee. INTENSE PAIN!!! and blood. But Since I had already done business I could not/did not want to find the terrible source of my trouble. Everything cleared up nicely, have been pain free a year so far.

drink lots of water, and if the doctors say " you have to pass it" I recommend lots of cranberry juice and coffee for the bladder pain.

Exactly what I was thinking. I've had them get hooked in the urethra and require a massive buildup of pressure to get out. Never ejaculated one out though. Sucks when they get stuck there because you can squeeze your staff and feel right where it's stuck.

I had one hit me a few weeks ago while getting a tattoo. Try staying still during that, lol. I didn't even notice the tattoo pain.
