Anchoring seems to be getting worse. It will initially load at the latest post, but then jump about 10 posts back.

Safari on iOS 6.

Just got this same problem. Fullscreen ad for myspace when I tried to visit the forum. Had to click a button labeled Skip Ad to get here.

In case it matters I'm using Opera 12.02, I don't have extensions installed (no adblock or whatever) and I allow javascript, flash and silverlight but not java. Using Windows 7. I'm sure none of this is relevant but it doesn't hurt.
 
I have Firefox 16.0.1
EDIT: Even redirects Chrome

I do have ABP but disabled. Everything up to date as well.

Also getting Myspace interstitial ad on Chrome, Win 7, all scans turn up nothing.

edit: got ad, clicked "Skip Ad", it popped Myspace into a new tab and then redirected to Google. Had to type in NeoGAF's url again to get to the forum.

I scanned my computer with malwarebytes, TDSkiller, MSE, and spybot all found nothing aswell
 
I was deleting some PMs when I noticed this:

TEN THOUSAND PMS NOW?! :D First the 30 second search timer, and now this? NeoGAF is fucking amazing. FUCKING AMAZING, I TELL YOU!

I've been getting trouble accessing GAF recently, the header comes up but not the threads. Takes 2-3 minutes for it to load the page. Only started getting this error today, around an hour ago, it's frustrating, can't post the gifs of the NFL games because it's taking so long to post a reply.

I just turned nosctript off and didn't get a redirect to myspace

I made a thread about this too. Seems there are still people getting redirected to myspace

EDIT: Just got redirected. Clicked page 3 on that thread and it happened

That happened to me a few years ago. Turns out the web page was waiting for the ads to load before loading anything else. I had to disable ads or else I'd have to wait 10-30 seconds extra per page. For some reason it was only NeoGAF which had this issue back then.

That particular issue is now gone, but I'm having other issues. Ads rarely load on here, though other sites which I've white listed have no issue at all.

I didn't get a redirect or MySpace ads, I always browse Gaf without any protection, to be sure the site run smooth.

The servers are ok, don't worry about it. :)

Same here but the redirect made me put them on (worry not, I still see ads =3)
 
Not exactly a related question, but is there a way to create a bookmark for a thread that always takes you to the last page of that thread?

There is, Gaf's mobile site uses a trick. You just have &page=1000 at the end of the bookmarked thread. This will then take you to the last page of that thread

It doesn't have to be 1000, I think anything over say 201 will work.
 
Is anybody having trouble staying logged in? For the last few days if I come back to the site after a few hours then I have to log back in. This is happening with both my laptop and PS3 browser, whilst both were fine before.

EDIT: and now I've just been logged off in the middle of browsing. Something must be really messed up with the cookies.
 
I just got the Myspace thing mentioned above for the first time today. Completely redirected me to a Myspace ad page, and "skip ad" just brought me back to a blank page (my home page.) Using Chrome in Windows 7 x64.
 
Has anybody else had any posts go missing or not show up at all after they've hit the post button? I made a post recently and when i went back to view it again a few days later it'd disappeared.
 
If you try to ignore sprsk, you get this message:
"Sorry sprsk is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her."

Is that intentional? I didn't think he was a mod/admin anymore; he certainly doesn't show up in the list. Either way, thought I would at least mention it.
 
Hey, Gromph, any progress on fixing 'go to last unread post' in Safari on iOS 6? It's been broken since it was released.
 
The site suddenly stopped loading for me whenever I type neogaf.com into the address bar. If I want to get here I have to completely write out: www.neogaf.com every time. Only happens in Chrome though.
 
Sorry if this doesn't fit into the correct error category, but:

I attempted to sign into GAF from home via desktop and Safari, when I got the message about too many login attempts, and to try again in 15 minutes... only it was my first try. I waited, then tried again, and nothing. I couldn't login for a good 3 hours, and randomly tried later on and it worked.

I cleared out my browser, tried different computers/browsers, etc., it was something with GAF. I thought maybe at first I was banned, but figured I would have gotten a much different message, and clearly now that wasn't the case.

I also have gotten the same issue someone else repeated earlier, about GAF signing me out after maybe 10 minutes. During the length of my browsing, I have to sign in around 10 times over and over, and sometimes every time I try to post.

Just figured I'd throw it out there since it was the first time I've ever had that failed login issue, and for such a long period.

This had been fixed.

Was due the new Load balancer and the IP parsing.
 
I'm getting a lot of 504 errors this morning and the forum is very slow in general...

I've been getting Content Encoding Errors since the MS conference. Usually about an unsupported type of compression.
I'm using Firefox 21.0

Speak of the devil... got like 10 of them trying to see if the post went through.
