Totally. Except for the processing part. For example this image was took forever to process and a lot of saving photoshop from itself. It was HYUGE.mrkgoo said:The 7D has changed me in regards to more MP. I want MOAR.

I'm curious because many of the shots in the photography threads are professional looking. I know a lot of posters here are professional photographers, but i'm sure there are tons of photos taken by amateurs which have turned out great as well. Just wondering how much preparation you ordinarily take for photos you post here.
Thanks. Magnum(my gf's dog) is so easy to photograph.gutterboy44 said:Yes! Rodeo and dog, nice photos.
I usually carry two lenses either my 12-60 f2.8 and 50-200 f2.8 or 12-60 and 150mm f2.0 with my doubler that gets me plenty of reach and covers a large chunk of the focal range i want with just two lenses.iamcool said:How many lenses do most of you carry around? Story about girl in shots.
Photography is a wonderful thing. I met a very nice girl today on the dock. I introduced myself and we talk as I shot photos. Her friend decides she wants to take some photos with the girl I met making a pose on one of the piers. I snap a photo of her making the pose. I blinked and all of a sudden i see her losing her balance. Next thing I know she has fallen into the lake.
I feel so freaking bad, but I laughed really hard as I pulled her out of the lake.
Note to self: Keep a towel in car just in case girl I just met falls into lake.

That shot of her on the pole is great!
Also, I know this is mean to introduce you to, but...
You have a dirty sensor here...here...here...here...and here...at least.

mrkgoo said:Black_mamba: Love that second-the-last one. Nice and clean with pleasing curves.
Inquisitor: I'm just obsessed about it. It's not big deal, you can retouch those things real easily.
If you have to clean, I recommend just a blower at first - it's a harrowing experience looking down at your naked sensor (although it's not really naked, there's a piece of glass in front of it).
The reverse of mrkgoo's advice also holds, to a point. Shoot wide open. Shoot in Aperture Priority and keep it cranked to f/1.8, 2.8 if you want it a little sharper. The dust will still degrade the IQ a little, but the spots won't be as defined as they are a smaller apertures.The_Inquisitor said:AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Well at least I met a cute girl. Well thankfully they're not too incredibly noticable but thanks for the heads up mrkgoo.
Ok so give it to me straight. What should I do to get it cleaned/where?
Edit: Fuck now I see it in every freaking shot.Oh well, not a huge deal, they dont completely ruin the photos.

Jtones said:Hello photo-people,
My friend wants to sell me his Sony Alpha 200 for a very good price. (I think it's a good price, how much does it cost now?) He hasn't used it a lot, so I think it's a good deal. But you know more about camera's than I do.
Is this a good camera to start shooting pictures?
Forsete said:Its a very good camera to start out with (I started with the A100 which I still use for macro. A2 has a similar body so although its all plastic its very durable and light).. And it is a better choice than the newer A230, because the A200 has a proper grip.
What lens are you getting with it?

my guess would be either one try with high FPS and then blending them in photoshop or one shot each till you get exactly the right one and then blend them in photoshop.Maklershed said:b) My brain is breaking trying to figure out how you do this.
