Gorgeous. Wonderful colors. When I ranted earlier in this thread about the digital antique or pseudo-film look often being overdone to my taste, an image like this is what I had in mind of what an image like that should aspire to look like when it comes to color tonality.

Thank you very much, means a lot.

Maaaan, I have so many photos (over 500) from the last week or so that I haven't even begun to process yet. I went from shooting nothing to shooting a ton!

Scythian, those forest shots are amazing. Don't mean to steal your thing, but I feel like trying it out myself. :P

This might sound sad, but I've been shooting using Black and White film for so long, that I just don't know how to take good colour photos. >_< And goddamnit, I need a new lens. I'm going to complain about the Kit Lens every time I post new photos. :P

@Chaostrophy - I love the shot of the doors, it's actually quite frightening to me for some reason. :lol

Your black and whites are always excellent, so I'm not sure worrying about shooting color should even be a concern.

That's a cardinal. We have them in Illinois, not sure where else they're at.
Cardinals are pretty much every where in north and south america. Pretty birds.

<333 Loves me some Cosmic Bus. Always knows how to cheer me up.

Interesting lighting today due to storm clouds and sunbursts. Here is a single shot I got off of a glass building in the center of my city from the point of view of my job (streetside)...

And here it is from a different angle (cropped a bit)...

Do you guys recommend the Sigma 1.4 30mm for a canon t2i?
YES. It's my default lens for the 500D (t1i?). I can't believe there's no huge competition in the "normal lens for crop-factor sensor"-segment.

If you're shooting these with the kit lens, I'm scared to think of what you might be able to accomplish with some upper level gear. Absolutely terrific.

Amazing!

Your second and fourth photographs are sick, koam. Love the look. And you feel the need to shoot during the day, I've been wanting to shoot at night :lol

Man, I love your B&Ws. It's something I want to get better at myself...

I was laying in bed last night and randomly felt like taking a picture of the lights that are strung up around my ceiling:

8mm rectilinear optics (or is it a corrected fisheye image?)?! Which one is it?

Edit: One second after the initial shock I see it's the new Sigma zoom. Fffuuu 8mm is pretty awesome if it actually delivers. How's the edge sharpness and CA?

Looks like the chromatic aberrations are EXTREME! Just check out those back white lights! :O ;)

Stalfos: Striking colours!

Pepto: Great capture.

Spriig: I love using my iPhone for images too.

guise: Great images - well composed and good moods.

heist: I love your images you've been taking for your project.

Out and about - pretty standard 'landscapey' affairs, but I like how they turned out.

Nice and lush, Scythian. Forest scapes like that are so hard to compose so they're effective but you've done it. Love the backlighting too.

To Valkyr Junkie: The photos I posted of the cherry blossoms where taken in Osaka and Hyoto, Japan.

Not bad but not great.

I have much better ones up on my blog.

Oh and your photo is nice.
I think it could use a little post processing work though. Play with the levels if you have photoshop or contrast sliders in your favorite program, and maybe bump the saturation.

I would do a quick PP job on your photo to give you an idea of the take I might try if its not too rude to go around a play with someones elses art.
