The pics you posted are very yellow. Check the white balance settings on your camera or shoot in raw and fix it in post. The Dutch Slayer said:If people have tips/websites/suggestions about my camera or taking pictures with a DSLR in general very much appreciated!
Ow yeah forgot to tell you all, that was this evening (eu time) indoors with 1 light source the sealing light, so that is where all the yellow comes from. :$Pepto said:The pics you posted are very yellow. Check the white balance settings on your camera or shoot in raw and fix it in post.

Thanks for the tips and comments! Man I know that I had a really hard time to get them on camera with a nice faceThe_Inquisitor said:You can fix that very easily in any photo editing program. Though be careful, correct white balance may take some warmth out of your photos.
Also your shots are kind of out of focus. I suggest you open your aperture some more, and/or increase shutter speed. Pets are moving objects.
The Dutch Slayer said:Hi all, I'll be posting here a lot more because as of today I have my very first DSLR
The Canon 550D (with kit lens for now) but for a noob as me that is fine until I have some money again to buy a newer (read better) lens.
If people have tips/websites/suggestions about my camera or taking pictures with a DSLR in general very much appreciated!

let me just preface, i've never used canon anything. But there are two problems when using a 2x TC, its going to magnify any of the flaws of the lens its attached to, not a problem if you're using a nice piece of glass which the 150mm is and i believe the 70-200 L f4 is. The second problem is it doubles the lenses f stop, which is where you would likely run into problems. Your 70-200 f4 is now a 140-400 f8. Which is pretty dark for fast shutter speeds.The_Inquisitor said:I own a 70-200mm Canon L f/4. I am heavily considering getting a 2x teleconverter. Any comments on how it feels to shoot w/ one?
Thanks so much. More from my vacation in Michigan coming tonight and or tomorrow. The Dutch Slayer said:@captive
INSANE shots wow well done mate !
Exactly. I see so often on photography forums people always buying new cameras or wanting the newest camera or wanting X brand to hurry up and come out with a new camera.The_Inquisitor said:Plus, I shouldn't invest in a new body anyways, the lenses are what are most important.
