Gaf, PSVita or 3DS XL?

So yeah my question is what should i buy?

I know 3ds xl has great games but Vita has also great games in terms of indie releases what i saw yesterday. I am torn and do not know what to choose at this point. If you could help me out what i am want to buy today.

I have both and it really just depends on what games you play. If you love Nintendo's first party titles and the 3DS great exclusives then go with that, but if you want nicer visuals, a crisp screen, and the promise of upcoming titles then a Vita could be for you. The 3DS is much cheaper as well which should factor into the equation.
 
There are some killer games on the Vita. But if you can really only get one (and you like Nintendo games), get the 3DS. I've probably spent almost 200 hours on mine in the last 2 months alone.
 
planning on buying a PS4..? then buy a Vita.

planning on having great fun good looking games on the go..? then buy a Vita.

planning on playing mario games.. then buy a 3DS.

I'd say whatever you are into.

If you like Nintendo's first party offerings and a decent Japanese library: 3DS
If you like indie games, ports, and a decent amount of JRPGs (which includes remasters of PS2 classics): Vita
 
Which machine has the games that interest you the most? Remember, both are BC so if you missed out on DS and PSP, you can play those games too. DS games are region free too.
 
I prefer my Vita. Do you own a PSP and a DS? Otherwise you should consider their libraries before making a decision. BC is great on both systems.
 
I own both and I would say 3DS XL at this point. 3DS has also plenty of cool and good indie titles. Also the company behind it is commited to support it with games (that can't be said about Sony really).

Of course if you have the option then buy both :P You won't regret it.
 
The Vita is an awesome piece of hardware. You seem to like indie games and the Vita has a lot to offer in that regards.

I have both and use my 3DSXL more, but then I really don't like Indie games.

Well, I do, but I don't like overpriced ports from the PC.

Also, if you're in Europe, you can get a really nice start on your 3DS game collection with the 'so many games' promotion which I think runs out this week. Buy three games get a fourth free.

Yep yep. Remember the psv has access to a ton of ps1 games and psp games, and 3ds has access to DS games.


Vitas RPG support is god tier. I could live off of just the game I have now on my vita for life...
 
3DS has more and better games, an more important, exclusives. Vita has a great indie line-up, but you can play those games elsewhere.
 
They're totally different devices with totally different libraries. If you honestly don't know which one you want, don't buy either.

Personally, I'd choose the Vita. It's just better.
 
No contest here. 3ds has more and better games and the future lineup looks incredible, also you can play all of the awesome DS games on it.

VITA's future lineup of games is crap.
 
I do not have PS+. To me it has been a long time since i bought a handheld. And i want to buy PS4 later on but the lack of good games on vita (enough indie's for sure that's ok) but other titles sleem slacking from what i have been reading.

I do have intrest in Monster Hunter,because i like monsters and loot so that is a plus when i think of it.
 
Can someone list the (noteworthy) Vita games that are not available on any other platforms? Whenever people champion the Vita, they seem to reference games that can be played elsewhere.

Sounds to me you already have decided to get a 3DS so go with that.

I think a lot of (and I mean HUUUUGE amount) Vitas appeal is with PS1 and PS2 games and ports. If you are the kind of guy who only wants new games/exclusives then go with 3DS. But if you are the kind of guy who returns to classic games time and time again there is no better legacy system than Vita.

Listing games seems like a bad idea without some sort of idea what the OP likes.

Limiting that list purely to exclusives when the OP has shown an interest in the indies on the Vita seems like an attempt to marginalise the library for no good reason.

Yes it's better but, it's the games that make the console, and in this case i think 3ds has more...oh and those memory sticks are insanely expensive, it's quite ridiculous really.
 
3DS for sure and i get it years and half ago , right now i have more than 30 games.

Just get Vita and i only have 3 games , i don't like any game in the market.

waiting for Tearaway & Dragon Crown for Vita.

3DS upcoming games really strong and much better than VITA games specially Bravely story & monster hunter 4.

If you're interested in Monster Hunter, then I have to say get a 3DS. Also, although localization hasn't been confirmed yet but, MH4 is getting released on the 3DS.

Quick question, have you played a Monster Hunter game before?
