GAF, Sell me on XBOX One..

I think Dragon Age Inquisition is free to try for Gold members on Xbox One right now. I cant make a thread because of junior status, and this thread somewhat relates
(like 1%)
.

OP has PS4, PS3, Vita, Wii and PC. Under these circumstances, yes, i think it's wrong to buy a console for games that haven't been released yet instead of AFTERWARDS, when it will be cheaper, too.

You did noticed that I said "games that are out now" too right?

I'm a diehard Sony guy but man do I love my X1s.

Sunset Overdrive, Killer Instinct, MCC and Tittanfall like folks have said but I believe the most fun I've had on my X1 is thanks to Forza Horizon 2. Couldn't tell you exactly what makes me keep playing that game week after week but it has a hold on me.

Plus, if you happen to be an NFL fan, the app/tv options can't be beat.

Wait my friend. Halo MCC still needs work, at least it does for me. If you are going jump on something now it should be a WiiU. But the best answer I can give you is wait for the Xbox team to sell you on the Xbox one this E3.

Exclusives. - You mentioned GAMES only. There's games that are only found on the Xbox.

My XB1 gets more time than my PS4 due to this, currently. All the games listed previously are definitely worth checking out.

My personal favorites are FH2, SO, and MCC. There's much more than that though.

The Xbox One is a videogame console with exclusive games from Microsoft and occasional third parties.

...not sure....uh... not sure what to add to that

Honestly, I don't think I can.

Bought one last week, it's my first ever MS console.

And I'm finding it very meh.

Really not the step up in functionality from the Wii U I was lead to believe.

Yeah this, as an owner of all next gen consoles (and someone who only uses his PC for exclusives) the Xbox gets a vast majority of my time largly because of its exclusives. Quite frankly Microsoft has done an amazing job at getting a great variety of quality titles on the system up to this point.

One thing to consider though is you will have to pay another subscription. This bothers me so I only pay a subscription on Xbox since I play a lot of those exclusives online where as virtually every Sony exclusive is a single player experience.

Lots of love here for Sunset Overdrive. I guess it just didn't catch on with me like other people. I think it's fun for a few minutes every now and then but gets old quick.

Be sure to play SO when you manage to turn it on.

You're better off waiting to see how Windows 10 push turns out. If they really are pushing more first party ports, i don't think i'll even touch X1 at all. This is if you're patient enough to wait longer for games.

This is what I'm waiting to see as well. Will be interesting to see if MS actually makes good on all that "one platform" stuff. My doubts are high, but I'd love to play Halo 5 on my PC.

I always enjoyed MS's library of games. Since halo, I've always kept coming back to the Xbox. Well here are my reasons of why I love to game on my Xbox One.

  • Halo MCC - Yes, it's definitely a game you must have with the One. 4 games in one package. Sure updates are constantly improving it, but the overall package is solid IMO.
  • Sunset Overdrive just brings me in a trance of pure fun. Like how i played the first Crackdown on the 360.
  • Forza Horizon 2 - Played the demo and was floored from the quality and presentation. However, i'm not a racing type of guy so i passed.
  • Dead Rising 3 is fun and making the combo's is rewarding. BLANKA!!!!
  • Titanfall - Loved it since my first play through. Feels great calling down your Titan, jumping in it and then fist bumping an enemy into giblets. heh...
  • Ori and the Blind Forest just released and the launch trailer sold me. So far the reviews have been stellar. I'm so happy for Moon studios and i cant wait to pick up this game.
  • Also if you decide to get a Gold membership, you will also have games for gold. This month will get you #idarb and legend of rayman.
  • Not to mention titles down the road that may be appealing to you. More specifically Halo 5: Guardians. The beta is something that made me WANT to play it more!

That is just a snippet on my thoughts for games on the Xbox One. :) Other features are there but I'm sure you can figure them out. ^_^

Also i never tried EA ACCESS, but i've only heard positive impressions on it.

I'd say hold off unless:

A) You are a huge racing fan (FH2 is that good).

-or-

B) You have extra cash to spend and just like new toys.

No console is worth one or two games alone, and with what you have already, you would really be missing very very little by not getting an Xbox One.

I recommend just giving it a pass. It's what I eventually did by selling mine, and I have no regrets.

Lmao at people suggesting someone with a PC play the XB1 versions of DR3 and Titanfall tho.

Don't do it, wait until this Christmas and they'll have some killer bundles. If you have a ps4 there is like a 99% library overlap

It you press B while on the home screen it will launch something for you. No one knows why, or what exactly it will launch, it just always wants to see you moving forward.

B is for back. Back to the previous APP that was open/loaded. It will resume either the game or video streaming app where you left off or re-launch the game/app that may have closed.

B is for Back. :)

I'd rather sell you on a Wii U. Is that okay?

I wish I had kept my Wii instead of getting a Wii U. Then I could still play Gamecube games. FFS, I hope Nintendo is done with this crap of making the primary controller something obnoxious.

As for the topic, the main reason I stuck with the XB1 this gen was the community of friends I had built up. As far as I'm concerned, the XB1 has made that part of gaming even better. The activity feed, where we share clips and message each other is freaking great. The recent addition of Game Hubs just adds to the feeling of playing games with all of my friends all of the time. And putting Smartglass on every phone and tablet has made that social network even more convenient and useful.

As for game, the MCC is finally fixed and awesome. Halo 5's beta made it an easy day one choice for me. Forza Horizon 2 and Forza 5 make for a perfect pair of racing games that stretch from sim to arcade.

Spend $30 and get EA Access. If you do that and if you have an XBL Gold memberships (assuming you will for Halo online), here are all the games you will have access to day one if you buy the MCC bundle:

-MCC (Halo 1, 2, 3, & 4)
-#IDARB
-Rayman Legends
-Battlefield 4
-Madden 25
-Madden 15
-FIFA 14
-Peggle 2
-Need for Speed Rivals
-PvZ: Garden Warfare
-EA Sports UFC
-NBA Live 15

Likewise, before the end of the month you will have the free to play MMO Neverwinter and a free copy of Forza Horizon presents Fast and the Furious, not to mention we get double the GwG games in April.

Needless to say, you will have a TON to play for a relatively small entrance price. Also, buy Sunset Overdrive. Easily the best game I've played in years.

Yep, I was making this same argument when Microsoft was rolling out great deals over the holidays. If you factor in EA Access, you have an insanely strong collection on day one for a really good price. It washy far the best bang for the buck a parent could provide their kid on Christmas, but it is just as relevant today.

First of all, your PC is better than a X1?
If it is not the case: MCC (now fixed) is probably the best value for a multiplayer shooter avaliable, Horizon 2 is probably the best racing game avaliable in curent gen plarforms and Sunset Overdrive is a blast to play, I think there is no meed to add more to what has been said.
Halo 5, Quantum Break and Tomb Taider are coming too.

I've enjoyed the system since day one and I like the user interface the most out of all the consoles. I recently spent time with both a ps4 and wiiu and couldn't get past the Ui differences from xbox one. To each their own in that regard, just my experience. I love forza horizons 2 and all the multiplatforms are there. Resolution differences don't bother me personally, but I don't sit close to my tv, Find a friend that has got one and see if it is for you.

Wow what a great endorsement...! Something he can look up himself...

If no one posted stuff that could be found elsewhere online then this forum would be a bit barren. Would you prefer the poster say "great system because its exclusives are rated highly. want to know the numbers? go look for yourself!"

This might be a good place to post this. I'll be getting an xbox one for rock band since I have so much dlc but am wondering if there's a chance they will have a separate smaller model available without the tv stuff? I'd rather have a small box if possible.
I'm in the same position. I'd rather get a ps4, but I have too much RB DLC and if Harmonix can get old instruments to work with new consoles, it will be a no brainer to get a xb1.

If you like the games on X1 than buy it. I bought the PS4 mainly for Uncharted and God of War. Have only played The last of US so far and haven't regret it a bit. Can you afford it and like the games on the console than do it. If you can't then don't.
