I would go for something specific GamerGate did to justify that anyway, not just the movement in general spawning. IE if PA's antics can be directly tied to that then, well, that rather than GG on a whole.GamerGate already "won" last year. Yeah, it's still going on, but voting for the same thing as last year didn't feel right for me.
I'm sure if you asked almost anyone here what was worse between GamerGate and Konami's actions, the vast majority would say GamerGate.
Part of the problem is that Konami hasn't sounded all that great to work for, and isn't really producing much of anything worth noting in the near future. This isn't like, say, Hironobu Sakaguchi leaving SE or even Clover being shut down by Capcom, both companies continued to make many great games afterwards with many notable staff still around. Konami just seems like a husk of what they were in the core gaming scene, and while what they're doing may be better for long term success it comes off as completely burning bridges with the people who once made them successful. And I'm including the fanbase there, not just people like Kojima. The Batman: Arkham Knight PC debacle takes it for me because it is something tangible that can be pointed to.
We only really only know one side of the Kojima/Konami situation so assigning all the blame to Konami seems misplaced to me.
Looks like Konami is the undisputed winner, but dishonourable mention should go to Payday 2 for the microstransactions and refusal to continue patch support for the console versions.

It's Konami.
Just Konami.
