1. Fleischer Superman
The complex animation is the fabric of which Batman TAS is styled after. The stuff that was actually animated is goofy (such as its interpretation of a dinosaur), but some comics still manage to embrace the cheese, which cartoons need a little bit of.
2. Popeye
They're my 2nd favorite Flesicher series. It's such a silly cast, and went on to inspire Mario.
3. Jonny Quest
The best cartoon Hanna-Barbera cartoon. It was modern adventure, likeable characters, and atypical art direction compared to almost everything else they did.
4. Batman TAS
The original series of the DCAU also had the best writing and the best animation, and an incredible voicecast. New Adventures had some good episodes but the art suffered. It was a solo show when a Justice League show seemed impossible, so creators didn't focus on making other characters look stupid like they can with JL/JLU or with Young Justice.
5. King of the Hill
The best general audience primetime cartoon. It started off as a satire of a middle-class Texan but matured into a show about silly-yet-human characters that generally care for each other.
6. The Flintstones
The original best general audience primetime cartoon. I might be looking at this one with rose-tinted glasses because it's been retired while The Simpsons keeps getting worse, and I didn't watch every Flintstones episode.
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987
It's the best 80s toy cartoon. Still, the voice cast was phenomenal (my favorite in this list). It's probably the cheesiest show I'll list but it reminds us there's more to adaptation cartoons than having to be direct adaptations.
8. Batman Beyond
A great and unique follow-up to Batman TAS. The show had serious style. It recycled some of the ideas that made Batman successful (like the Mr. Freeze episode), but it was a fun twist on a franchise adaptation.
9. Rugrats
This was a great kids show that didn't involve spastic yelling and animation. Notice I will never list a show like Chowder or Flapjack because of that crap.
10. Captain Planet
Even if it was cheesy sometimes, and participated in materialism, it felt like one of the most earnest attempts to encourage kids to consider the world around them.
Up and coming
TRON Uprising: The animation is incredible, and the story is interesting. If they can manage to incorporate themes of the original movie, it can be a REALLY good series. It probably won't, but at least it will look good.
On the fence
Adventure Time: Some nonsense is good, but this show is overboard. That's fine for its creators but I personally prefer
some structure.
ReBoot: I liked this show but people who didn't experience CG in the 90s probably won't appreciate the looks. I didn't like the later seasons.
Chowder, Flapjack: The spastic humor and yelling is almost an immediate turn-off. They are remarkable shows if you can get past them. Over time, I could not.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Contains tinges of the last 2 listed cartoons. I like Mac and Frankie, and the main cast. Bloo was really annoying though.
The Simpsons: Continues to ruin itself
Futurama: It's a great show when they don't focus on real life issues. The universe allows for a lot of unusual comedy to happen.
Batman: The Brave & The Bold: I liked the ideas, but the artstyle is crappy skew on Silver Age comics art. It's hard to look at. The Superdickery episode was fantastic though.
I've never seen:
AVATAR: The Last Airbender: I'm watching Legend of Korra, and that's a great show. I only regret a show could look western and be as good.
