Game Grumps (aka Egoraptor plays some games)

I do think it's also likely that they will do a one-off or two before they launch into it. Maybe let Bloodborne finish, since we know (or at least think) that's about done.

Oh.

My god.

SUPER MARIO GALAXY!

I haven't watched it yet, but I really hope they finish it. Is Danny or Arin playing? Does Arin like this one? I forget. I can never remember what he likes and hates. As long as Danny can keep on track.

Wow, it hadn't actually shown up in my Youtube feed yet, so I was sitting there thinking, "What is he talking about? He knows I was just talking about a rumor, right?" But no, there it is.

A nice surprise after the finale of Kirby which was a wonderful play through.

I hope this is wonderful too. Just too bad it's not a two-player game. 3D World was fucking amazing with the two-player and shared lives pool and Danny's compulsion to always purposely jump off moving platforms or throw away items just for laughs. This is half the reason I want a 3D World 2. (Or a fucking stream where they finally get the last items needed to open up the Champions Road levels like they promised.)

Hopefully when they finish Galaxy, they'll do a Zelda game then Galaxy 2. Or hell, do Zelda when Bloodborne is done and have both running at once. BTW, how long is BB? Are they anywhere near the end? I don't even like those games but love their play through for some reason. Did they ever finish the Souls game they were playing before? I can't remember.

I skipped ahead since I don't have time to watch it right now, but Arin is P1 and Danny is P2.

They mentioned in the last episode of Kirby that they finished Bloodborne. I haven't beaten it, but I think Arin said there's only one more boss in the main story, and I think Arin was gearing up to fight it in the most recent episode. So I would think that the Bloodborne finale will probably be in the next day or two, unless Arin really struggles with the final boss or goes for one of the extra dungeons.

Next episode will actually be a Chalice Dungeon

At this rate they're gonna beat every mainline Mario game on the show. Just the Galaxy games are left (I'm not counting Yoshi's Island), and I'm sure they'll beat Galaxy 1. If they suffered through Sunshine, there's no way they won't finish this.

Haha, of course Danny is the useless little pointer, but after watching how bad he was in SM3DW I'm kinda glad he's not taking the reins. 3D platformers just aren't his thing.

Arin died in the tutorial level... This is going to be a long play through.
I was so hoping that would happen while watching it.

Can't watch yet, do you mean to say he died on that planet with the bunnies? Is that even possible?

Right after the bunnies when it fires you to a planet to collect 5 star chips, there's a black hole underneath that he fell into. Basically the first possible place you can die in the game

Eh, certain parts of Galaxy, (or at least Galaxy 2,) are waaay easier if you have a second player running the pointer. Especially some of the later platforming sections where moving or disappearing platforms can be kept still.

Now the bigger question is whether or not Arin and Danny will figure that out.

Why does Arin seem to have a negative attitude about Galaxy already? Does he not like the game or something?

Go back and watch the older Mario videos with Jon. Arin did nothing but shit on Galaxy for not having any new enemies or creativity. There's a reason people get so up in arms over his opinions.

At least he didn't die or take damage to the first goomba in the game. That weird greenish goomba.

But, like, he wasn't shitting on SM3DW and that game looks less creative than SMG at first glance.

The BB playthrough is one of my favorites they have ever done but i'm forced to temper my attitude while watching Arin play through these final sections and i keep trying to remind myself that I didn't know where all this secret shit was at one time either... so stop yelling at my tv LoL ...

Iosefka's clinic though? the fuck Arin... you were seriously LOOKING at the right gate to walk through - even mentioned that it was there and shit.. and then you walked through a locked gate that leads directly into the starting area where you could have easily just lamp ported into and you don't turn around to check out the obvious fresh/new/untouched path??

That's just lazy gamin right there son... good thing there are 4 cords.

Really wish he would go to Cainhurts. Their reaction to the Flea women would be AHMAHZING...

They still haven't beaten any of the NSMB games. Arin and Jon got like 3 worlds into NSMBWii but Arin's constant bitching forced them to stop. They only got one episode into NSMBU. Jon wanted to continue it but Arin refused.

Arin and Danny playing NSMBWii and NSMBU would be fun. Danny's a bit stronger at reining Arin's bullshit in than Jon.

Why does Arin seem to have a negative attitude about Galaxy already? Does he not like the game or something?

Arin has said on multiple occasions that he is not a fan of Galaxy but I don't think he's gone into detail. When they were playing Sunshine he said that he thought it was the last good Mario game and he's been negative about Galaxy whenever it's brought up.

He said he loved Mario 64 because it's in his nostalgia zone but he ended up hating it on Grumps, lol.

This Cash N Guns game looks interesting. And I love Mega 64. This is pretty enjoyable.

Why is Table Flip uploaded so late? When do they record them? Have they skipped any episodes? It seems to be months between uploads. I really don't want to watch on the Polaris site.

I recently played Cash N Guns at Dice Tower Con. It was an absolute blast. That, Rampage and Spyfall were my favorite games there.

He shat on it a little bit, but I think the game just being simple multiplayer fun won him over.

Maybe it's that since Jon had more experience with games made after 2005 Arin felt more of a need to exert his belief that everything made after 2005 is crap to mess with Jon. Jon would call Arin out on it but Arin would beat Jon down until he gave up. With Danny it doesn't come up as much and when it does Danny either agrees with him or the conversation gets diverted to something else.

I think Danny and Arin both preferring the pre-N64 games helps not lead to arguments. And Danny openly admits to not knowing much about games, so he just kinda lets Arin say whatever he wants.

Yeah, but Arin was also more likely to go off on rants when he was with Jon and I think it was partly because he knew Jon would disagree. Like they had to end their ALttP run early because Arin kept going on about how much better ALttP was than OoT and pointing out things that OoT doesn't do but actually does cuz he knew Jon loves OoT.

How do you know all that? I recall them both bitching about the NSMB games (maybe Arin did it a bit more though), and usually it was Jon who wanted to end playthroughs early.

The NSMBWii playthrough probably ended because nobody was having fun. Arin was just complaining constantly, Jon didn't like the game that much, and the fans were getting mad.

After rewatching some of this: Really the whole thing was really frustrating. Jon was complaining, too; more than Arin. They were really early in the game and they were crying because it was doing beginning of the game stuff that every Mario game does and using late-game SMW stuff to juxtapose.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa_WTPTJ7cQ (I like this part where they're complaining about the game not doing anything new while trying to use the new ice powerup to solve a clever puzzle)
https://youtu.be/W2GyW74eBp4?t=2m18s (Here Jon complains that this single level where the camera is super zoomed out doesn't have a lot going on above the stage when the NSMB games in general have far more verticality to their stages than any of the older Mario games. Arin even calls Jon out)

Really Jon was more negative than Arin on this one. The nostalgia goggles were super thick on this one.

The only episode of NSMBU ends with Jon saying "Next time on Game Grumps... hopefully." and Arin shoots that idea down. Jon said he liked the game a lot, but he preferred single-player and contemplates that the reason he didn't enjoy NSMBWii as much might have been because he never played it single-player.

Yeah, that was one of the first series I was exposed to and I think you can even see my posts at the beginning of this thread about how annoying Jon is and how personable Arin is because he was just shitting on it non-stop so I assumed that person was Arin. :lol

How times have changed.

I wonder if Arin ever finds Castle Cainhurst in Bloodborne...

It stung like a bitch when they were both talking about wanting to do everything before the final boss, even doing some early chalice dungeons while still being ignorant of Cainhurst's existence.

Arin clearly got some outside help to learn various tricks and secrets, so how the hell is Cainhurst flying over his head?

I hope he gets flack for this.

Arin seriously has to do this dumbass shit on purpose. Keeps jumping over the switch he needs to touch so he doesn't touch it, then runs away from it having still not touched it and starts whining "WTF I touched them all!" No, no you didn't you dumbass.

Wow, I'm not normally annoyed by the Grumps not following directions. But seriously, the Luma tells Arin to get the key from a Goomba, and then he spends the next few minutes screwing around with the spike on the bottom saying, "What am I supposed to do?"

Holy crap, Arin.

Well, he's probably distracted by Dans conversation. I know that I've meaninglessly ran in circles when talking with people and playing a game.

I think Arin complaining less nowadays is because he's just older and calmed down a bit from how self righteous he used to be. He admitted in the LTTP playthrough that he hates his sequelitis video, for example. He's just done a lot less of his trademark "dislike something or arbitrary or personal reasons and then cherry pick examples to give appearance of objectivity." He's probably grown up a bit. Also doing so many videos probably just would be a miserable experience if all you do is whine.

Arin complains less now? What are you watching? o.O

I do really like GameGrumps, and i think they appeal to the silly side of me, if you don't know who they are, they are not serious abou there gaming, rather they just have a lot of fun with there games, and it relights some of that fun i used to have with games,

now i can't helped but get serious when i play games,

Watching Game Grumps for me now is like watching Arin and Dan slowly turning into blobs spewing nothing but 4chan thread titles.
