Game Grumps (aka Egoraptor plays some games)

Jon's just doing his obligatory defending something that's in some way unpopular/berating something because it's popular thing he does. I mean, dude defended Twilight in the Aladdin playthrough. I wouldn't put much stock into what he says when he gets on one of those.

Anyway, the Dora the Explorer Exorcist bit caught me off guard. That was funny.

Sometimes you can figure it out based on what they say or other factors like the date on their Sonic playthrough, but there's no list or anything anywhere.

You know, I feel Game Grumps would have more lasting appeal if the two actually debated on things they disagree on. Yes, I know it's about "having fun", but the fun has gotten boring. But they could try and debate on the many things they disagree on, instead of having Jon just fold and agree with Arin on everything.

Ya, I only saw it because I watching watching something and it was under the related stuff when I was watching one of the videos. It was a recent panel it seemed that I hadn't seen yet so I clicked it. :/

Yeah I mean wow. Those jokes he made were horrible. I don't care if he was trying to load an app on his phone either. That wasn't funny. Seemed like Arin was rolling with it and trying to cover for him but when he said something about being friends and Arin said they already are, I'm pretty sure he was just trying to do whatever he could to not make things worse.

I give props to the guy who said that he'll stick to Game Grumps to piss off Max. Max saying that he doesn't play video games because they're for gay people or whatever definitely did him no favors. That video alone made me want him to bomb. =[

Eh, I don't know if they have to because it's boring but at least arin explains why he disagrees at times instead of just folding. Jon's points could be good ones but we'll never know because he switches just to appease arin (and usually when arin doesn't even care) instead of just saying what he means. It's frustrating because it's not like he gives up and says it was ok, he literally goes to the polar opposite. From "This movie/game/whatever is absolute shit" to "Ya, it was I great, I loved it too!!!!", it's just weird.

I also think they would have more lasting appeal if they did like, one 20 min video a day instead of three 10 min ones.

What's funny is that he understands that Asians find that term to be offensive, but doesn't understand that stuff like "oriental food" isn't considered offensive. Only when applied to people.
 
I stopped watching this regularly a while ago. Now I check back occasionally, maybe watch a video or two, waiting for a game I like to come up. But I have to say it really amazes me how utterly ignorant they are about the world. I watched the Mario Party 8 finale a little bit and between the Greece and Rome thing, and the Occident one, I have to wonder if they dropped out of elementary school. The quiz games were pretty awful too.
 
I haven't watched the grumps in a week because of AGDQ and I don't feel like I've missed anything.... Is the end of the Mario Party stuff good? Also heard they finished Sonic?

I thought this Mario Party 8 series kind of sucked, honestly. One of the few Game Grumps series' that I actually considered not watching. They weren't that funny.

They're done Sonic's story in Sonic '06, now they are (eventually) moving on to Shadow.

Especially since he's not right and it's NOT A FUCKING POLEARM AXE.

Edit: One thing they've been doing too and only lately in the power rangers is like wasting the last 30 seconds or so doing absolutely nothing instead of cutting the episode... I don't know if they're afraid of putting out a video that's like 9:48 long but like the last one he just stood there chopping air for like 20 secs instead of just ending the episode, they did it in one of the earlier power ranger videos too.
 
While I think the videos are quite funny for the most time, they really made me rethink stuff like Sequelitis, where Ego comes off as a videogame knowledge genius. It's now pretty appearant he isn't. At all.

And yeah, the humour and novelty is kinda wearing off a bit by now, sadly.

I don't think that what he says on an off-the-cuff comedy show should discredit the stuff that he would have spent hours of pre-planning and production on. That's just nonsense.

I think they may be running out of footage after what seems like an extra extra long holiday break. That would also explain the recent one-episode-a-day schedule.

I agree.
Just because he isn't good at games doesn't mean that he doesn't know what they are about.
Theoretical knowledge can be useful.

I'm really curious as to how his Sequelitis episode about Zelda will turn out.

Even though I've watched it before, the Megaman Sequelitis popped up in my recommended videos. Rewatching the first 5 minutes decrying games for tutorials and how just paying attention to these old games teaches you stuff is hilarious after so many Game Grumps episodes. Dudes stance and opinions have sadly been reduced to joke ashes.
 
I've stopped watching these guys. Its the same over and over ' look at that stupid ass... thing'. They were at their best when they were discussing game design as well. Sigh.

Of course you're right, but still it's strange to watch sometimes. I mean, all that talk about how the game teaches the player on one hand, and a lot of stupid things he just doesn't get on GG on the other. I dunno.

Yeah, if anything, Kingdom Valley should illustrate quite clearly why some tutorials aren't a bad thing.

I can put up with most of their other bullshit, but this is still the biggest "UUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH" part of the show for me.
