Game Informer November cover revealed: The Order 1886

Everything looks good and seems pretty interesting to me... except those weapons.
The guns look a bit out of place, kind of wish it weren't a shooter first.

amazing cover art

Not really feeling this game. Ready At Dawn are awesome, but this looks all kinds of meh to me.

EDIT: The GI cover art is nice, at least...

Sure, but there's nothing really to suggest that we can't. They've shown various images of large environments with people (aside from the main characters) walking around in them. So it certainly seems like they're planning to do something with them. The Last of Us kinda gives you a glimpse of how you can create a linear game while still giving you environments to explore.

Yeah. I guess the ideal scenario for me would be something like Deus Ex Human revolution. Still eager to see gameplay though.

oooh been waiting for them to talk more about it

i don't care about it being a linear experience but i hope there's a little more than just shooting :/

I think it's fine aesthetically, I think it's poor design mechanically. Shooters require vertical real-estate historically. Unless they're reinventing the third person shooter, I can't see how this will be beneficial.

Eh, didn't really affect RE4 way back when.

Well...the gameplay bits looked like TLOU including graphical quality.

Plus tank top guy needs to flex more. Unless Dom is in the game.

The settings are amazing and refreshing(especially in this day and age of modern. Shooters). Some other games like Dishonored, Assassin's Creed, Theft, Bioshock have went for similar styled settings before but are usually dated further back and/or pick different locations. These settings seem to lend themselves well to the theme. There's a lot of potential here to heighten the atmosphere(morning fog, limited lights at night, etc) to create very tense moments/encounters with the 'supernatural'. Hopefully, it'll have solid gameplay within good playable mechanics(and atleast a half-decent story). Nail that and it's a winner!

That character design is so Baller. Want that manly bearded guy.

EDIT: And that producer dude is the size of Schwarzenegger.
