GAME takes action against PS3 vs 360 poster

You are very much wrong, every GAME across the UK is using this campaign to ramp up pre-orders in the rush up to launch, and that is not an exaggeration.

Correct. It's an outright lie.

No, go and have a look yourself!

Why do you think I said it's an outright lie? I've visited several GAMEs in the last few weeks, and none of them have had anything like this up.

I highly doubt that, every store in the South East and Cardiff have these everywhere.

No they don't. Or again, they didn't as of last Saturday when I was in the GAME in the shopping centre in Camberley (hunting for Wiimotes and picking up Castlevania: PoR). Honestly, you're as bad as morph.

Perhaps you wasn't specifically looking for PS3 propaganda on your hunt for top notch gaming equipment.

On the contrary, after the recent discussion of such things in the UK launch thread I was doing a full comparative review of PS3 marketing material in a range of shops.

And Woolworths was the winner, with no PS3 marketing splurge at all but Wiimotes in stock.

If this was official then there the benefit wouldn't fall far from the tree, especially it would make then run into the danger of being sued. Therefore, I highly doubt that GAME would condone to such a strategy. Unless...

Question to all: how easy is it to obtain that "this is living" logo?

Well I guess it's varying from store to store at the moment then, as my accomplice definitely spotted one in a Cardiff GAME, and I have seen quite a few in Canterbury. Another friend works in a GameStation in Maidstone, and told the Microsoft rep of GAME's antics, apparently she was fuming! :lol

As far as I can tell, the manager at the Camberley game isn't an asshat. And the manager in the GAME I normally shop at in Reading is (as mentioned above) an Xbox fanboy through and through. Perhaps that explains why they didn't have these posters. :D

Glad the Defence Forces are live and well across the nation! :lol

its bad but I've herd game do this time and time again with whatever product there targeted on.

That shops the place all the parents or people who dont know any better get there stuff and it takes advantage of that position. One time someones kid got a full demo of a system and told riduclous things about it so they'd go over to there parent kicking and screaming.

I dont like Game there Pre-owned section can sometimes give you a treat but after that there overpriced compared to any other game shops in my area (Gamestation, Granger Games and some smaller shops) and they have stopped there 10day returns policy.

100% doesnt surprise me tho, I've seen these type of things stuck up all over recently and theyl be there again for the next big launch.

I've heard it brought up here numerous times as some sort of credible source. Now that I've finally visited the site I know what the people who keep talking about it were going for. These tards actually considers itself at war with Sony, going from store to store to check for pro-Playstation bias. :lol

Far too many GAME stores are run by them, unfortunately. I lost track of the number of times I heard the Xbox-whore manager at my local lying to customers. My favourite was the claim that PS2 can't handle real-time games online, and the only reason Madden has online play on PS2 is because American Football is a turn-based game... :D
That is the funniest thing I have read anywhere all month.
:lol :lol :lol :lol

After those incidents you cant blame people for being suspicious of viral marketing campaigns

Man, I would buy a PsP if it could play DS games and cost as much as a DS. Make it happen Sony.

Once a GAME employee at the nearby store told me that BluRay makes your SDTV Hi-definition. This is apparently why it's better than HD-DVD (which lacks this feature). Digital TV boxes can make your TV HD too.

Oh and Sony invented Motion Control. No, not just for gaming, as in, totally.

And let's not forget: PS3s are almost sold out already! (sign outside: "20 available! Preorder now!") and it's said "Last few days to preorder!" for a few weeks now.
