I am thinking of picking up on of these gamecube usb memory adapters from lik-sang to back up my game saves, anyone use one of these? thoughts? Any other alternatives?
My brother-in-law and I each got one specifically to play through Dynasties in NCAA Football 2004 and 2005 (he lives about 150 miles away). It served its purpose, but the software was very rudimentary and bare-bones, and the function buttons on the GUI were strangely labeled, but was easy to figure out within 2 minutes of trial and error testing.
We only had two or three instances where we would download the current Dyansty file via FTP and find that the file was corrupted when we tried to load it. Even then, simply deleting the file from the FTP server and re-uploading it so that the other person could grab the file again was all that it took.
Overall, the fun it facilitated for us made it worth the purchase price .

Hehe ... yeah, we hadn't used any of their other products prior to that purchase, but I suppose a quick look at their website should've given us a clue at what we were in for.
The EMS memory card is identical to the "Gameshark Gamesaves" for the GameCube. If you can find a GC Gameshark Gamesaves in the USA, buy it and then download the EMS software from Lik-Sang.
I have two of them that I use. Nice 1000 block cards, and I can back 'em up any time I want.
