It's doubtful that Sony Santa Monica could a next-gen sequel to God of War 2 within two years (without it being rushed). I'd imagine an extremely late 2009 release at best but an early to mid 2010 as the most likely release window.

Well according to one of the Lead Concept artist he confirmed back in mid January that it would not be 2009, but we would be hearing about the release date soon. If anyone would know you think he would, but maybe Sony will pull some tricks;

God of War III fails because there's no multi-player. No multi-player in this day and age is unforgivable and a sure sign of shoddy programs, a rush to get it out the door and hopefully stop the massive bleeding. Sure, PS3 fanboys will make excuses for this game's shortcomings just like they did for the first two but the fact of the matter is that true next gen consoles expose games like God of War III for the cheap thrill frauds they are. Even a subpar game like NGII totally destroys the God of War series. Oh and BTW, God of War will never known as GOWI, II or III, that belongs to GEARS OF WAR now, a true game for true gamers, none of this button mashy casual crap that ruins gaming. LOL @ PS3 fanboys, LOL

Loose talk is GI's rumor section basically. It is usually a smaller section dedicated to a small insert in normally the the first half of the mag. Stoked and Race Pro are 360 exclusive fyi.
