Also known as Exhumed in the UK.

Lifeline.

God, I loved that weird, weird game.

A few games I enjoyed way back in the day that nobody reflects upon... ever.

I loved Beetle Adventure Racing! Played it all the time with my brother.

I'd forgotten Destiny had even come out until I saw an advertisement for the new DLC on TV today.
Really? Say what you will about the game itself but the marketing was everywhere at launch and it's been talked about a heck of a lot (for good and bad) since. How could you really not have known it was out?

Little Big Adventure (or Relentless in the US) 1 and 2. First one was on PSX and PC while the first was PC only. They were pretty well regarded and reviewed at the time but haven't been remembered in the long term.

Really impressive for their time, mix of isometric and full 3d, and a weird setting where cutesy animal races are oppressed, cloned and imprisoned under brutal dictatorships. Also you can hump a cow for extra lives.

Beyond Good and Evil was its spiritual successor.

Twinsen!! These games were so awesome and I remember being in love with the graphics and isometric perspective. So many little details. The sword you got near the end was killer, the crazy moves you could pull off. It was a very hard game and I remember having to call my mate every couple of hours when I was stuck to find out where to go next lol.

Mine would be Wonderboy games. These were very popul;ar back in the day and some of my fave games growing up so it seems very unusual that we still don't have a modern day version of this series.

Mischief Makers.

Was one of my favorite games for the N64. Such a great game honestly, even at the time the low review scores I was seeing for it befuddled me. Even now when people talk about the system its not really brought up much, guess I'll never get it.

You could also beat up your wife. Even while she was pregnant in the second game IIRC. No way that little detail would pass the ratings today. The hilarious way Twinsen acted while in aggressive stance even added to the experience and made it look like some drunken domestic violence.

Anyone else remember Forsaken on the PC, PS1 and N64? It was a first person shooter, but you were on jet bikes so could move around the environment completely freely. It's one I played the demo for a shit load, but never actually bought the full game.

Such a great game. It was 2D and got hard quick (even though it never really got that hard) so it got mediocre scores. Feels like it's up there with Blast Corps (probably taken off the list because of Rare Replay) and Space Station Silicon Valley as N64 games mentioned in topics like this one though. Not hugely popular, but it seems like it stuck with some people that loved it.

This came to my mind. I had fun with both this and the sequel.

Oh wow, yes this was another one of my faves (still have my copy). Yager was excellent story while this had the better combat. I miss arcadey dogfighting games like this. I think the only one that has come out since then has been that Snoopy game which doesn't have the same impact haha.

I also onlyu remember one game in the series: Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge but that's because I only played on Xbox.

A Bug's Life for PS1 for some reason sticks in my mind. I think because I was too stupid to play it so I was always stuck near the beginning, but I played it over and over again to try and figure it out. That's not a game that will be brought up often, though.

I actually completed the PC version because it came free with my grandad's computer and it was the only game he had at his house. You unlocked very short film clips if you collected certain items.

The combat took a while to get used to because it was floaty as fuck, but with heavy emphasis on blocking and dodging attacks and the dark medieval atmosphere it was very satisfying in a dark souls-y way where most hack and sash games back then were, well, just hack and slash.

It wasn't a deep game or maybe even a good game, but I liked it a lot and these threads are always good chance to bring it up. Spiritual successor to Die by the Sword an even more forgotten game from back when Treyarch did other stuff not called Tony Hawk or Call of Duty.

The Lost Planet games. To be fair the first game was very forgettable. It was so boring and bland it was just shoot the enemies in the snow and don't get too cold. It also had horrible cutscenes with anime characters for some reason.

Oh this. So much! What a game!

I played Max Payne 3 for 53 hours and even I forgot about it.

This and Modnation Racers had incredible potential.
I bought this game day 1 and was incredibly disappointed. its the only game where I can say a single mechanic completely ruined it for. Wouldnt mind another that didnt have the "lose your head mechanic" and that the heads were used for powers instead of as keys

Tsugunai: Atonement -- I loved this game, just because it was different. You start off as a character punished by the gods to wander as a spirit until you atone for your sins. You do so by taking over myriad people and helping them with their tasks. Sometimes they need help fighting, or it's an adventure game, or it's just talking with people.

Plus, it had an amazing soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger):
