The fact that he taunts the tree after brutally killing it is sickening.![]()
Why? They're so chill.
Why not just add to the title and put "Games that make you want to kill enemies stylishly" or "Games that have fun/interesting ways of killing enemies"
Because I thought the title was more stylishly similar to the marketing of the games I reference and didn't think people really expected an open thread about wanting to kill IRL nor did I expect so many people to skip the OP so badly and the title still makes sense to me.Why not just add to the title and put "Games that make you want to kill enemies stylishly" or "Games that have fun/interesting ways of killing enemies"
In hindsight I think I could have called it "Games that make you want to kill with stylish professionalism." To avoid the lack of context that caused people to jump to conclusions and post without reading anything else.
I definitely am clear I am referring to in game killing in the OP.That would have worked earlier to avoid the wrong direction the thread was going to take. and TBF, there was a bit confusion in the OP too. If u followed up "to be a flawless killer" with "in video games" or "while playing the game", for example, that would have helped differentiate whether u were talking about real life or virtual play.
I can't tell if you didn't read the op, are suggesting game killing is like real killing, or both.Probably none ever.
I do it when I have to, but for the most part I actively try and avoid. Makes games more fun and engaging for me.
I don't really mind if it's monsters - probably why I gravitate toward more surreal or stylized experiences - but yea killing human enemies is generally disquieting for me. I don't get satisfaction in taking the lives of characters explicitly designed to look as life-like as possible. It's kind of creepy to me when people actually get some emotional satisfaction from it. Which I'm assuming this thread is about in-game "killing," because if it's about real life... My fear of my audience deepens again.

For me, it's simply fun. I respect your stance, but I feel you are projecting your own personal fears/concerns. Lots of perfectly well adjusted people, like killing in games. I see my step-dad do it in GTA all the time, it really is just fun.
Well, yea, I am. It's just my POV. I'm not suggesting anyone else needs feel the way I do about it... I'd be a hypocrite if I did, considering how many M-rated games I've been involved with over the years haha.
I know people enjoy it.
It's just not what I personally play games for or gravitate to. I'm more likely to watch YouTube clips of top 10 kills in Halo than I would in Assassins Creed, for instance, despite playing both games simply because one game the enemies look like aliens or robots and the other like, I don't know, my ancestors or something haha
