Games that you find ******* Stressful

I rented Dokapon Kingdom a while back. With friends its an amazing game, but the AI players just down right CHEAT. God help you if those losers fall last place.

Playing as the healer in any MMORPG. I like being valued and wanted, but having to keep multiple macros on everyone in the party, juggling hate, dealing with tanks...

You know, I find playing the healer classes very relaxing and fun because I'm not usually right in the enemy's face (I'm sure that would change if I did PvP though). I'd take it any day over controlling a tank...

Add me to the SC2 list. Last night I closed my eyes and saw a mouse clicking around a base with SCV's running around. Supply depos were falling everywhere and I got no sleep :(

Fifa online. The amount of bullshit that consistently happens is just unreal.

this as well. ill play 2 games of fifa and loose them on such dumb shit and then I have to stop playing because I cant stand losing to scrubs

World of Warcraft, but not for the reasons in the spirit of the thread. It's mostly been about guild drama and people problems. Serious, ridiculous, dumb stresses.

WOW, I have guildies that ninja loot a lot, and they are good with it too, sometime I really felt stressed out trying to make them play honest... yeah and guild drama, loot whore, etcetc.. Being a dps whore myself isn't helping either.

FIGHTING GAMES, I have heart burn and stomach problem whenever I am under heavy stress for a long period of time. Most competitive fighting game managed to give me a heart burn after a few hours of play. Doesn't matter if it is mastering hard combo, dealing with lag, hating myself for sucking, or just wanted to win.

I don't usually go all emo on playing games online, but so far I had most problem dealing with those games.

I am doing okay with WOW now since I just playing it casually with people I knew irl, and I don't take fighting game seriously anymore, I managed to had lots of fun with BB and SSF4 just playing with people in different forums.

Fight Night Round 4 nearly killed me. I had a damn good online record and I wanted to keep it that way. Some fights were just way too intense. :D

As annoyed as I was by the button patch, it was also a relief since it meant I could put the game away in good conscience. Probably saved myself from an inevitable heart attack.

Sonic 06 pull my hair out on the silver boss fight, He just pick me up and toss me into the the air just then pick me up and toss me back into the air.

I dont like give up on games but that was just to much to take

When a game stresses you out because of a deliberate gameplay mechanic or feature, does that mean it's effective, in that it's actually good at what it does?

tanking as a warrior in WoW vanilla ... so glad im clean since 2 years. I will never ever touch that sucker again.

Other than 1v1 in Starcraft, which is a given, I'd say Nemesis in RE3 (and the chainsaw dude in RE4 too, I guess).

Possibly because I was quite young but...

Healing in WoW isn't really stressful. It's just painful because most fights you can heal really well or really poorly and it doesn't make any difference to the outcome since most fights these days are a matter of DPS keeping their output up while not standing in fires. In my experience ~50% of DPS struggle with at least one of those.

For me:

Starcraft 2 1v1
Diablo 2 HC
Competitive FPS
XCOM

System Shock 2 can be pretty stressful too, but I've played it so many times that I deliberately pile on stressful gameplay restrictions so that it always stays as intense as the very first time.

These days, playing defensive spy against a good team on TF2. Not that it happens that often mind you. The thrill of the hunt and the fear of detection gets my heart racing.

This. Kind of. Except I'm the one forming raids of 25 spots for 35 people weekly.

And to keep everyone else happy and tidy.

WTF. I didn't sign up for this when I made my account.

World of Warcraft: Officer is pretty much an entirely different game, loads harder than the basic game. And, for me, a lot more enjoyable, but I can see why so many people are so happy they don't have to deal with the associated bullshit!

Killzone 2: balcony part on Elite is unadulterated torture.
Ninja Gaiden 2 on X360 and PS3 on Master Ninja. I was crazy enough to go through both.
Shinobi on PS2 on hard. Wow, no words for this one.
Online fighting games can be stressful at times.

How could I forget to mention SSBM? Perfect wavedashing, perfect teching, perfect l cancels, waveshining, timing moves properly, SIDE BING OFF THE EDGE WITH FOX OR FALCO FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Oh yeah, tell me about it. Playing as Fox really forced you to think about so many things, since his SHFFL's are so frickin hard.

Super Street Fighter IV. I get wild heart palpitation when I play this game.

It's incredibly draining and I hate myself for not playing it more after buying an expensive ass stick (and dual modding it)

Clock Tower 2
The complete lack of sound during most of the game made every Scissorman appearance so much more frightening. Kinda like when I saw No country for old men in theater, I was on the edge of my sight during the entire experience.

By the time I made it to the shopping mall, it was scary to the point of not being fun anymore. I only finished it because I bought it. Stress :^/

World of Warcraft raiding.

Stressers:

-Need to show up ontime for muster. Leave work early, eat early, etc.
-Hope to fuck I get in the raid.
-Make sure I read and watched all of the boss strategy videos.
-The raid bosses are stressful as hell as you have to rely on 39 other people not to fuck it up (24 nowadays, right?).
-Pray that I have enough dkp for that one drop that has a 1% chance of dropping that I put off dinner with my wife to try to get.
-Deal with guild drama fallout after someone gets a drop that someone else wants.
-Do this 4 nights a week.

Fuck that shit. I've been done for years now, and it still stresses me out when I think about it all.
Haha,
I remember this, good old 40 man raids. Less wondering if I'm gonna get into a raidfor me, and more trying to keep guild together after fallout and anarchy with our tyrant guild leader. Good times.

Of course right now it's SC2. Macroing, scouting and attacking with zerg is like trying to juggle chainsaws with one hand.

so freaking true. i use to raid 25m 10/12 heroic mode icc as pally heals and that shit use to stress the shit out of me. Its funny that when raiding as a DPS i was relatively stress free, but as a healer i dreaded the fact that today was a raid day

That's what is beautiful about being a DPS class. Unless you manage to pull aggro (which is really easy to avoid) a raid wiping is almost never your fault. Sure you might die to whatever mechanic the fight employs thereby dropping your raid's dps a little, but it is almost never you personally causing the entire raid to get murdered.

Without that weight of responsibility you can just sit back and calmly use your spells in whatever rotation works for your class.

I hate healing in WoW. I would probably develop stomach ulcers if I didn't avoid doing it. The sad part is my main is a priest. I am quite content playing as Shadow and throwing out heals in a pinch. I can't wait for Cataclysm so I can roll a goblin warlock and never be asked to heal again.

SC2 & SSF4 are stressful as well but that's usually before the start. Once the game begins and I get a feel for who I'm up against the stress subsides.

Probably counter strike matches since I'm serious about that game for some reason. The match will mean nothing but I'll still get stressed if it's a 1vx or something.

Most recent is Alan Wake to me, but only after those fuckers decided to start appearing REALLY close with their HHUUMMMM sound effect.

I recently went back to do some stuff in DQ9 because I was so stressed out by my ~50 or so SC2 MP games and I needed to cool off.

heh...I really just realized that I play lots of games that 'frustrate' me.

HoN
SSF4
SC2

I play games competitively, that's why.

What's a casual game? :P

I do play handheld games to pass the time and really enjoy, i.e. P3P, TWEWY, etc.
