Games that you would replay through with VR

Dark Souls just to do this

Rogue Squadron

F Zero GX

Pokemon Snap :P

VR gaming in anything other than a cockpit I don't think really appeals to me.. I don't want to play every type of game on it.

Alien Isolation
Portal 1 & 2
Driveclub/Project Cars/Gran Turismo
Superhot
P.T. It's already one of my most immersive and terrifying experiences whilst playing a game, I hope Kojima is working on something similar. I think the reception of it was to much for him to ignore.

Thinking about it isnt the big problem with a 3rd person game that you have to rotate the camera with the sticks as you are still looking around with the VR headset?

If so then i would also like a god of war in VR as the camera is focused, you would more than anything feel the scale.

A damn shame that nearly 95% of the games posted in this tread are completely unsuitable for VR without huge alterations, unless you're interested in just throwing up every playsession.

Weird how that gets overlooked every thread.

And that's the strongest argument for "Does anyone still think VR is going to be a fad/flop?". Needs more time in the oven until it can do what people want out of it. Nothing announced for VR so far is as compelling as the titles that show up in multiple posts in this thread. They don't stack up to the existing alternatives as games, and ride entirely on novelty factor, aka gimmick status.

That's the great thing about flight sim/driving sim games. The player is stationary in the cockpit just like the human is sitting stationary on a couch. So the controls are fine

The title isn't 'what games would work well in VR' so no need to bring it up guys.

Anywhoo my list would be

PT
Wipeout
Flower
Flow
Battlefront
GTA
Driveclub

The first game on my list is Antichamber. I haven't bothered making more list because I don't expect to survive.

Insurgency. Nothing like catching an RPG in VR.

Also, any racing game with a cockpit view. I can never hack it since the depth perception is so off, so that should instantly fix it.

Skate 3

Couldnt see it working, but would love to try

With head tracking it could totally work. In.

How would you play fps games without motion sickness? By keeping your head still?

Think on rail games are the best choice for Vr

I have not played DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3 yet, so.

I think Super Mario 3D World would be cool.
Alien Isolation.
WipEout but a 2097 HD remaster.

I think Metro's ranger mode is the PERFECT candidate for VR. A borderline-horror FPS with some moderate survival elements and not to mention gorgeous graphics all that needs to be added is a bit of head-tracking and the games are good to go!

Alien Isolation
Portal 1 & 2
Driveclub/Project Cars/Gran Turismo
Superhot

Good news for you Project Cars was confirmed to incorporate Playstation VR before the game even launched, so unless somethings changed VR racing is on the way.

Also there is the Playstation VR's "Cinematic Mode" for P.T.

Fight night or knockout kings type of boxing game.

Gran Turismo

Alien Isolation (though I'd be too scared to get very far!)

COD4

Ace Combat (so happy that's actually being made!)

All games I love that were first person or could be translated to fps really without having to change the control scheme drastically.

Tumble. And I will because they're remaking it for PSVR :)

Also every sega arcade racing game

Stunt car racer and the sentinel

Shadow of the colossus would be pretty incredible in VR I reckon.

It'd probably need a graphics update at this stage though.

So many I can't even tell.

But the most important ones:

Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite
Also Fallout and Elder Scrolls games
Half-Life 1&2

Just imagining going to columbia in VR. Fucking hell
