Games with the worst intros/openings

Any game that doesn't allow you to control the game within the first 60 seconds.

Cutscenes and scripted sequences are the devil's business.
Yep. Though I would just say that I'm not interested in cutscenes. I want to play a game, not watch a really bad movie.

Yeah so many games these days get high praise that are basically just cutscenes and bad gameplay. The last of us is at about the level of the Walking Dead TV Show, and yet 10/10!

Persona 4.

It's three fricken hours before I can play a game.

It's an 80 hour long game so in proportion it's not so bad...

Surprised nobody said DQ7 yet... though I personally liked the intro, but it's 4-5 hours before fighting your first slime.

Tomb Raider.

For a game that was supposed to be an origin story I feel as if it didn't do well setting a good foundation for people to actually care and know about her and the weight her surname (family) carries (which is referenced by Roth in the game as if it's something to live upto). It just threw you in with the tackiest intro by showing us a TRAILER and was really lacklustre at making you understand why and how it was all happening. I'm a big TR fan, but that game was a damn mess with narration.

Brawl's opening is pretty lame.

This, especially in comparison to the works of art that are the 64 & Melee intros. It's just a bunch of scenes from the single player mode sloppily edited together, and the music just doesn't get you anywhere near as pumped as Melee's intro does.
