Dragon Quest IV:
Breath of Fire 2, Secret of the Stars, Legend of Dragoon. I'll post examples and think of some others once I get home. (._.)
No. Each region has its own accent.Ha, I've never played a Dragon Quest game; is it Scottish English like that the whole game?
The English translation for FFVII wasn't very good either.
No, your stupid!Revelations: Persona.
The Harvest Moon serious has always been chock full o'mistakes.
Most of the Harvest Moon games. There was an entire line in Friends of Mineral Town for GBA that was entirely in Japanese...in the English translation.
The german localisation of Metal Gear Solid is legendary.
#onlygermanswillunderstand
The German translation of FF7 was absolutely horrible. The german voice acting for MGS was so bad it was already good.
I just beat Legend of Dragoon, and while I don't know what the quality of the Japanese was, the English translation is all sorts of bad.
There are also tons of errors between addition attacks and what the characters actually say "Flower Storm written" vs "Blossom Storm (said)." or "Flurry of Styx" vs. "Ferry of Styx."
"I am destined just to die." Magician Lord
Quite a few bad translations in this game but this one is the worst. I mean what the hell are you trying to say?
Dragon Quest IV:
Pokémon Vietnamese Crystal

The whole ROM is full of great quotes.
Ha, I've never played a Dragon Quest game; is it Scottish English like that the whole game?
No. Accents added much needed flavor to DQ's localization.
It is in the visual novel and it's not a mistake. If you listen/read the whole conversation it makes sense with context."People die if they are killed" - technically happens in the anime not sure if the line is also lost in the visual novel of Fate Stay Night. Still, quite funny.
Nothing beats Vietnamese Pokemon Crystal translation. Its one of my favorites.

No, your stupid!
I've always loved this what is it supposedly from?
The dialog in 1 is not bad, but the abbreviations in the equipment and item names are sooo bad. I think Woolsey did the best he could with the technical limitations he had though. You can tell 1 was translated by someone who actually speaks English, unlike 2 where it is so incredibly literal that it's obvious it was a Japanese person with a dictionary.I laughed.
Anyway, WA2 was very awkward and could've been more interesting with a better translation. Legend of Dragoon and Breath of Fire 2 (1 as well to an extent) was also the same way. I used to keep a list of this but I don't know where I placed it. =(
