Games you remember, names you don't

I've got one maybe some can help me with, never been able to find it using google fu. Point and click adventure game from the 90s (first person), it starts on a spaceship and iirc you're trying to find parts to get your ship off the planet you've landed (crashed?) on. I remember this drink machine on your spaceship that was kind of a puzzle where you had to mix different flavors/ingredients from different spouts. Not a lot to go on I know but those are the details I remember.

I have two games I cannot for life of me find. I played them in elementary school in the late 80's and early 90's.

1. It was a math game and you played as robots. I remember playing against my friends. You had to answer addition and subtraction questions to move along and it was a race to the bottom.

2. It was a rabbit hide and seek game. Pretty sure the game took place in a carrot patch. You had to click on a carrot to find the rabbit hanging off the carrot. When you found him a song played, 'hit the road jack...'

Hmm... the first one sounds like one of the Jumpstart games. Or maybe Math Blaster.

It's not math blaster or number munchers :( Thanks though.

You start at the top and when you answer a math question right, you move along a line. Then it's the other player's turn. There are quite a few lines to decend until you reach the bottom.

If not, maybe Tuneland?

I remember some time ago seeing a game on steam where you played as an astronaut in a retro futuristic space station and his head could detach and would fly around like a rocket and could attach to other things.

What was that game?

There was a game in the early 90s called Pocket and Tails Go Exploring or The Wanderoos Go Exploring. It's kangaroos, but they looked like rabbits and it definitely had a hide and seek game in it.

Edit: Sorry I thought you were trying to answer my question.

SNES game where I think you are ninjas and get into random battles walking from town to town. Battles are beat em up style, and I think it's two players.

This one will be tough...

PC game

96-97 perhaps?
3D

Could drive on roads I believe were sort of hilly and maybe mountainous. I remember so little about the specifics its near impossible.

I seem to remember it having extras beyond just cars though but it was still mostly a pure racing game. As far as I know it was only on PC. If I saw some video or screens it would likely jog my memory of it but I simply can't remember the details of cars or how it looked.

I remember a ps1 game that opened with a mission that consisted of an infiltration+sniping through a building
I think it played like third person shoot em up, with split screen pvp (what a fun mode that was)
There was also a hard Af tank in rhe middle of the game.
The theme was spies I guess.

Was it one of the Test Drive games?

I'm looking for an old DOS game from the early 90's (i think.)

Its a fantasy game where you are supposed to defend your castle from invading monsters. You can summon your own monsters to defend and you have the option to mix different kind of monsters to get new breeds. And there is a option to get down on the battlefield and fight yourself. If i'm not mistaken you ride down in a flying chariot.

EDIT: Someone told me it was Dominus.

I remember this old two-player car battling versus game on the Acorn Archimedes.
Top-down, light background, no scrolling, just two cars (one red, one blue I think) with projectile weapons. It had tank controls, accelleration, and randomly spawning weapon powerups like machine guns, a big cannon, and an orbital spikeball.

Help me out, GAF.

I've never even heard of Acorn Archimedes to my knowledge, but I'm pretty sure this is your game: Car Wars

This one is tough. I remember playing the Terminator 2 console (clone of an NES I believe) and one of the games was a side-scroller/beat-em-up that had the main character modeled from the Crash N' The Boys game on NES. One of the boss fights had you jumping/kicking either a golden statue or mask.

I believe one of the games was part of a 4 in 1 or 60 in 1.

Sorry for the late replies guys. Not either of those games :(

Really appreciate the help though, you guys are great. Funny story - I ran into my grade 5 teacher a couple of days ago and asked her about the games. She looked at me funny lol. I mean, ya, this was 25 years ago, but c'mon, how could she forget! We played those games so darn much. Ah well.

Basically when I was younger I remember playing a really janky game on Playstation. It was either horror themed or very dark. You played as someone in black robes who walked really slow, he was bald too. The front cover had him surrounded by blue lightning.

The gameplay itself was quite obtuse - it was a third person game where your character was dead center in the cam. You had abilities but I remember being young and not being able to work out exactly what they did. One of these abilities was a very slow firing blue orb.

If I remember right I think you were an exorcist or a ghostbuster of sorts.

I swear the title was Legacy of Darkness or Masters of Shadow or something like that, but all my searchs do not come up with the game that I remember.

Anyone able to help me?

Could be Ninja Shadow of Darkness, going on the name alone.

This a pretty vague memory so I might remember things wrong or mix things together:

In the amiga days i remember playing a colorful wacky isometic collect the dots like game. It wasn't anything Pacman, but similar in terms of gameplay, to the isometric Pacman game. I remember levels that had a street-theme and perhaps a hotdog enemy. Maybe it was only a bonus stage for some other type of game, since I havent been able to find it in any database of Amiga games. It could be that I'm wrong and its for the pc instead.

Any help is appreciated.

Maybe it was "The Guardian of Darkness"?

Looong time ago I saw a fighting game in arcades. 2D sprites, I think 3D wasn´t still a thing. One of the chracters was an old woman with white hair who could double jump and had an attack where she used her dentures to bite the opponent. I think another character was a guy dressed as a rabbit, but I´m not sure of this. There was also someone who threw hearts around, again not sure if this was the old woman or a different character.

I never saw the game again, but I´ve never forgotten it, it looked really cool. Someone please help me!

Power Instinct?

I remember playing a game on the PS1 where you either were a vehicle, or drove a vehicle, like a motorcycle, and you would fight other vehicles while driving down long highways. There would be a boss at the end of each level and one particular level I could remember had a boss that was like a helicopter and it would hover along the highway with you shooting at you while you had to take it down. I think you had a choice between blue and red motorcycles? This is all probably super vague but I'm pretty sure it was Japanese, but I just remember playing it with my brother and it was a ton of fun

Breh.

In case you're curious, the Archimedes was more or less a British Amiga. Ran RISC OS and shared a bunch of games with it.
Ah, those were the days.

Now watch me get slammed by retro-GAF for making that comparison.

Big Red Racing?

Old PC game where you were in a hovercraft exploring a maze. It's what I always played in primary school when I got free time. This would be in the 90s or early 2000s.

Two Super Nintendo games.

1. Platformer, the playable character was purple or pink, like an alien.

2. Top down action game. You went inside buildings. I think the setting was in a mountain. Some sort of Hotline Miami but less gory obviously.

First one possibly Super Widget? Not a lot to work with. https://youtu.be/KDTggIKdMNY?t=30

Looks similar but I don't think it's that one, I don't remember him changing forms, and the levels were all very green and colorful.

I think he went up and down on branches or big roots.

I didn't like the game much so I don't remember how much I advanced in it. My mom used to rent the same couple of games.

The name could be the character's name, starting with "Y" maybe.

Hard one here :

- Top down RPG that you have to get Crown from different elemental Kingdom
- Have 100 day to finish the game because a black cloud go up prevent you to visit place at buttom
- MS-Dos game
- I think it as the Word element or elemental in the title.

Please help me !

I have one, and I have almost nothing to go on.

I think it has some exploration elements, you're walking around a city or small town. There's something about a girl who's mom has been locked in the attic or a room because she's "changed" or have been turned into a monster.

DOS game. Like gauntlet, 2 characters - a swordsman with a red hat (I guess) and a crossbowman with green clothes.

Good music if I remember..
