Games you thought would hold your interest, but ended in disappointment

The Witcher 2 - I couldn't put the first game down, but the second one never quite grabbed me. The majority of the storyline was focused on uninteresting political drama, although a few of the sidequests were very well-developed and more interesting than your usual RPG sidequest.

Combat started off interesting, stiff but still challenging... but by the middle of the game, you got too overpowered and most of it became about abusing the Aard spell.

Guild Wars 2 for me... I just havent been able to get into the game and have tried 3 different classes (only leveled 2 past 15 though) It has not held my interest at all and I have no idea why because it has all the things I like in games. Great Gameplay, decent story and lots to do... I keep trying to give it another chance though!

L.A. Noire, after red dead Redemption I was so excited for another experience like that but ended up being really boring for me.

Duke Nukem Forever, honetsly I was expecting a bad, but fun game but ended up being just bad.

D3 - Played D2 tons and expected to do the same with this one. Bored after a week or so and don't even have the urge to go play another class. Biggest disappointment in a while.

GW2 - After being soured to the idea of MMO's for a long time I thought this would be a fresh one to get me back into them. After a week I realized this genre just isn't for me anymore.

RDR - Awesome environment. Boring everything else. Even the sandbox elements (fucking with people, doing funny things, etc. got old pretty fast)

Skyrim - Opened up with a "Woh!", then gradually tapered off into "ehh", then months later I realized I kind of forgot to keep playing it.

So yeah, pretty similar to a lot of people here it seems...

Tales of Graces F. The Child arc of the game is perhaps the most boring thing I've played in years. I was expecting the combat to keep it fun but it all felt so basic, in the worst ways.

Diablo 3 for obvious reasons

GW2, which was amazing when leveling. Unfortunately, after getting to max level, there isnt much to do that is interesting.

Red Faction: Guerrilla. An open world game with fun combat, destructible buildings, and plenty of hype? Oh it should have been a lot of fun for me, but alas the long boring trek through the dusty paths killed all momentum of fun that I had in the cities.
If only it was more alive, active, or fun to travel like Just Cause 2.

Super Puzzle Fighter titles. I love puzzle games, from klax to Tetris to Portal to Drop 7 and so many more. Yet here is a puzzle set up in which I just can't grasp the mechanics in my head and it's only frustration. I should love, I should get it, but I just can't.

Deus EX Invisible Wars. By that time I only looked at magazines for gaming news and stuff, saw the reviews and one said "best game of the year" or something, bought it, and oh my...what a piece of boring garbage that was.

InFamous 2. I thought it was going to be a better Prototype and since I love Open World games I couldn't wait to play it, game was ugly, boring and not what I Was expecting at all.

Valkyria Chronicles. I think I have never played a more boring game ever in wich I could only walk a few meters then the game makes me stop and fire my weapon in what is a turn based combat system, guess this was my fault, didnt researched enough on it.

Uncharted 2. I actually love how this game looks, love the graphics, love the characters, Sully specially, but the gunplay was just bad, bulletsponges enemies made it worse.
