DLC has had a bad rap for awhile now but it seems it can be done right in some instances.
I just got around to watching the Shovel Knight Plague of Shadows trailer and hot damn it looks so good. Other notable examples are the Dark Souls 1 + 2 expansions, Dishonored and Binding of Isaac. The list could probably go on but these are just examples from my most recent memory.
There are some games out there that don't have any kind of expansion or extra content that probably should. Many of these are indies that are made on a budget so it's understandable. I would love more content on tales from space: mutant blob attacks or hotline miami for example. Same with the alarmingly good budget shooters Far Cry Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez Gunslinger. I get that these games had appeal because they were cheaper downloadable games and some of the appeal was how quick of an affair it was to beat but they were just so good that I think they deserved more content.
