Games you wish were portable

What games do you hope to get ported to handheld systems or mobile? For me I would love a good handheld port of Resident Evil 4, Diablo 3(which is pretty great with remote play), a Naruto Storm game, and Ni No Kuni(yes I know there was a DS game). Basically all games I would play a lot if they were on a portable device. Kind of surprised there hasn't been a true portable RE4 yet, seems like a great fit for Vita.

I generally enjoy JRPGs way more on portables. Not opposed to console/PC RPGs but portability makes it easier for me to pick up the game and play for a few minutes. Hunting Action games are the same.

As for specific games, I'll join the people saying RE4.

Dwarf Fortress.

Oh god, I'd quit doing anything else when I am outside.

I think the Story mode would be a lot easier to get through on Persona 4 Arena Ultimax if it was on Vita.

All of them.

WRPGs would be my biggest request at the moment, something like Fallout NV, Dragon Age or Skyrim. I know they'd murder the battery and be totally unprofitable to develop rather than for 2 home consoles+PC but that's what I'd like.

(On Vita at least)
People confuse "mobile" with "handheld", "console" games are great to play on handhelds if optimized for them.

Considering all I have is portables for the next month, I'll go with Destiny and Civ: Beyond Earth. I don't care how cumbersome Civ would be on a handheld, I have all the time in the world.

Deadly Premonition would be amazing as a handheld game. Has graphics that could work with handheld platforms, is already split into episodes and chapters that have perfect dropping off points and recaps, fun and engaging enough to pick up and play, and with a good amount of content in it to not make it a super short experience to last you for a while and a perfect distraction to take with you on the go.

All of them. Put all of the video games on Vita. Every single one.

(Every JRPG. Never able to finish console JRPGs.)

  • RE code veronika.
  • Tales of Graces.
  • RE revelation (on the Vita)
  • Final Fantasy Agito 13...
  • All Disgaea games from day one.
  • All PSN indi games that strugle to meet the the graphical power of their console.

And NO MORE FIGHTING GAMES PLEASE!!!!

The above list is made under the usumption that by "portable" you mean a powerfull handheld console like the Vita, and not some crappy IOS for tablets and smartphones.
I also assume that the game's are properly optimized to run smoothly with minor or no downgrade in graphics, and not just throw some extra content and call it a day...(cough, FFtacticsWotL....)
Thirdly, the game should have a proper retail release and not have half the game downloadable with some redeem-code crap. I'm looking at you Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD!

Actually, since some of these games are available on PC; it's only a matter of time until you get a portable version :p

And in fact, some of the games listed are playable on Windows tablets.

Catherine.
Would be perfect on a portable I think. That's the first thing that pops into my mind anyway.

FF Type 0 lol

Serious answer would be Paper Mario 2, which is one of my all time favourite games... and would help to wash away the disappointment of Sticker Star some if it came out on 3DS.

And yeah... X-Com would definitely be an amazing fit for handheld. I'd have been happy even if I could've gotten the PS1 version off of PSN for my PSP way back, but nope.

RPGs/JRPGs.

But really, every game ever.

I'd much rather play a game on a portable than on my PC or TV. My handheld backlog is much smaller since I actually play my handhelds.
