Games You've Beaten in November

Bayonetta 1 and Hyrule Warriors.

Moving on to Bayonetta 2 for this month, and I'm looking forward to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker as well.

Only CoD:AW Platin in November for me. Could'nt finish anything else, but im very close with Bayo 2 and about halfway through DA:I and GTA5 Singleplayer.

Bayonetta and Shovel Knight, I'm almost done with Bayonetta 2. Monster Hunter and Mario Kart multiplayer, as usual.

I'm playing Escape Goat 2 on Steam and it's very good, puzzle/platformer with clever ideas, check it out maybe!

Finished AC Unity and more recently Shadow of Mordor. Going for the Platinum in both but I'll probably give up with Assassin's Creed.

PC

Batman Arkham Origins - Decidedly meh. The game does nothing new and there is no agency to really do anything, while seemingly random "villains" are thrown in and out of the mix with no real development. 6/10

Binding of Isaac Rebirth - Although I'd argue this is impossible to truly finish, it has been a joy to play in bursts. Lots of crazy abilities and power-ups that stack in often hilarious ways, and great extensions to the game that are discovered as time and unlocks continue. 8/10

None alright? I beat none! Fucking WoW expansion!

Wait no, I guess I beat Alien Isolation. But that's it. It's definitely in my top five of the year too.

I really want to play/beat Far Cry 4 and maybe Ass Creed though. And Evil Within. And Dragon Age. And Bayonetta 2. And maybe GTA5 again. Boy am I in trouble.

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Had a blast with this campaign, super enjoyable story that's actually fun to play
Assassin's Creed Unity - I've never stuck around to see the end of an Assassin's Creed game, but this one pulled me in and wouldn't let me go. Really buggy and incredibly frustrating at points, but well worth the playthrough
Halo: CE Anniversary (MCC) - I haven't played through Halo 1 since 2007 when messing around with the Mac version. I don't think this game has aged that well at all. Some missions (Assault On The Control Room) are just no fun at all. It's a lot of running around in circles in copy/pasted rooms. The parts of the game that were great back in 2001 are still great though, and it was a pretty fun time overall.

Most of the way through Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Halo 2: Anniversary as well. Hoping to get through those in the next week

caught up on a lot of free plus games this month

Trine 2: The Complete Story
Muramasa Rebirth (Momohime)
Velocity 2x - one of the best games I played this year. Need to get DLC to support the dev
Thomas Was Alone (Vita)
Dust: An Elysian Tail - Looked weird, but checked it out since it was on plus -- was surprised how much I liked it.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Campaign was great

Just two:

1) Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

Story was predictable but the level design was some of the best in the series. Finally there are open stealth missions as opposed to games of Simon Says. Graphically it looked awesome, cutscenes being some of the best this gen has to offer so far. Kevin Spacey did a great job but Irons the character wasn't as compelling as Raul Menendez. I just miss the decisions that affect the story, which will probably be back in next year's CoD. Overall, it was one of the better campaigns in the series.

Overall: 7/10 Good

2) Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

My biggest surprise this year by far. It was completely off my radar until a few GAF threads and other games bombing convinced me otherwise. The nemesis system was everything it was hyped up to be and more. Graphically it is one of the better looking games this gen. I loved the variety of ways to approach each situation. I also loved how you could undermine the hierarchy in the Uruk leadership in whatever way suits you. The story was not bad but inconsistent. So many characters, including the villains, didn't get enough screen time and the end confrontation was rushed. Side missions were decent distractions. I got about 13 hours out of it. Overall, it's one of the best games I've played so far this year. People say it was the best AC game this year but I think it beats every game in the AC series.

Overall: 8/10 Great

Pretty good month. I finished plenty of good Wii U games.

Enjoyed:

Super Smash Bros for Wii U
The Wolf Among Us
Bayonetta 2
Dust: An Elysian Tail
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Didn't Enjoy:

Escape Dead Island - With poor characters and a nonsensical story, its moderately fun/tedious combat gets old very very quickly.

The Evil Within - Forgettable characters and a nonsensical story... Jackie Earle Haley did a great job though.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - Same problems as the 2nd Lego Batman. Too much Batman and Robin. Give me a DC Justice League or a game similar to Lego Marvel.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - I don't know what I was expecting.

19th Nov - Monument Valley
22nd Nov - Wasteland 2
23rd Nov - Jazzpunk
30th Nov - Mini Ninjas
30th Nov - The Walking Dead Season 2

Well, I replayed to completion two favorites for funsies: Hotline Miami and Mirror's Edge.

Most of my month was consumed by grinding and strategic scumbaggery with some buddies in Payday 2, which was recently introduced to me.

As far as playing any new releases go--nope. Nothing new yet. I'm going to be booting up Shadow Warrior, Transistor, and The Fall soon, though. Snatched those during the Steam sale.

Infamous - Second Son

Bought this on sale over Thanksgiving break, finished it in three days. Loved this game, despite absolutely hating Infamous 2.

Wild Arms 2 and 4 - 2 was a fairly forgettable but enjoyable romp, but 4, while flawed, and a shit-ton of cool and unique standout ideas in it.

Sunset Overdrive. Spent the rest of the time playing Destiny.

I started AC Unity, Halo MCC, Valiant Hearts, Shadow of Mordor and CoD: AW.

Dragon Age 2. Thought it was shitty since it came out, that is until I sat down and marathon'd through it. Pretty decent, just slow as hell until act 2.

Freedom Wars
Final Fantasy XIII (PC)
LovePlus

Almost beat Trails in the Sky but Persona Q showed up.. should get a lot off my backlog this month after finals coming up next week.

Dragon Age II, in preparation for Inquisition. Played as a hypocritical mage, looked at almost no guides and the story played out like a Shakespearean tragedy. Wouldn't have had it any other way.

LTTP Tomb Raider and Gone Home.

Tomb Raider - Really enjoyed this one albeit it could've added more challenge by fleshing out the 'survival' aspect of the game but I understand the design decisions to make it how it is. Forgettable story and lacklustre narrative though.

Gone Home - Unconventional but I liked it. An intriguing experience.

I finished playing: Etrian Odyssey: Untold: The Millennium Girl, I really enjoyed it as a dungeon crawler, the mapping mechanic was way cooler than I expected, looking forward to Untold 2. I played through all of Lord of the Rings Online: update 15, great content as always, I wish more people would play lotro, best mmo on the market imo. I played through VVVVVV as well, pretty good 2d platformer, neat gravity mechanic. Fun month. In December I'm planing on playing Dead Space, Super Meat Boy, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.

Might have been Alien Isolation, though that may have been October-ish. Not sure given that most of the month I've out of town or in the process of moving and thus zero gaming.

December will likely be The Evil Within, Dark Below expansion, and either SM3DW or one of the last two Arkham titles.
