Games You've Beaten in September

Uffda, September flew by. I think I only beat 2 games. Until Dawn, which I played through almost in one sitting, and You Must Build a Boat, which took forever, but I finally beat.

The Witcher 3 - Finally done after months of taking it slow. Loved it
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - Gave it a go to see if MGSV proper was for me, was pleasantly surprised
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Mainlined it for a week straight, loved it
Cradle - Ended up using a walkthrough. Loved the story and themes, had some issues with the puzzle design
Undertale - Came out of nowhere and beat it twice in a weekend, loved it

Along with Super Mario Maker (Is it beatable? I finished the 100 Mario challenge a bunch..) it was a great month for me. Witcher, MGSV and Undertale are pretty much locks for my top 5 of 2015.

Only this:

MGS V Ground Zeroes. Liked it, but there's not a chance in hell I'll play TPP under the same circumstances (All was on low, resolution at the lowest the options allowed and STILL got a sub-20 fps gameplay).
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: RULES OF NATURE! (Loved it)
Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. Surprisingly well done mobile game.

Had I not reached the cap of my internet connection, I could have probably put Arkham City in there, too.

MGS 5
Ori and the Blind Forest
Shovel Knight Plague of Shadows DLC
SMG 1
Mass Effect

Pretty busy month. Have also played a bit Super Mario Maker and about half way in Ace Attorney 4.

MGSV -- went from my initial reaction of "GOTY!" to merely "this is excellent", mostly thanks to the weakness of chapter 2. If they'd called it a prologue that would've explained the unfinished nature of it. Still, some of the best gameplay I've ever enjoyed.

Bastion -- really good. Great art and story, and the soundtrack alone makes it worth experiencing.

Papers Please -- creepy, harrowing and really entertaining. If that's possible to have all at once?

PS4:
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - took me about 42h and I appreciated every one of them. It's easily GOTY for me, but it's not the best Metal Gear I've played. I miss 40-minutes long cut-scenes...
Teslagrad - pretty good, classic platformer which I played mostly because of easy platinum trophy.
Ether One - it's technically the worst game I've played on PS4. Glitches, game-breaking bugs, slowdowns. I was regretting that I even started this despite easy plat which I have earned.

PS3:
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - one of the greatest action-adventure games on last generation. I loved creation of the world, the story, combat system and music. On the other side, this game on PS3 doesn't run very good, there are some noticeable slowdowns. But the game itself is just excellent. I still have one DLC to finish - Chapter XIV Resurrection.

PC:
Inversion - mediocre shooter. For the first 2 hours I was positively surprised, but then the game became repetitive and I had to force myself to finish this.
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse - it has really beautiful graphics and presentation, but it's really short (3h) and very easy. All in all, I enjoyed it, but this could be much better if there would be more content in this game.
The Stanley Parable - it's more an experience than a game. Player can finish this in a few minutes, but there are 19 (!) endings. Definitely worth playing.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Witcher 3(I beat it in September but I played through most of it in August) and Alan Wake. Pretty happy with that!

Edit: Forgot to say I loved all three games, especially W3

Not bad on my side all things considered (Travel, family, dogs, work etc):

Dark Knight ("medium" Knightfall ending)
Valkyrie Chronicles

Both on PC...waiting for Fallout4 to go back to the PS4.

For October I'm targeting to start and complete Phantom Pain and Final Fantasy 7 on Vita.

Until Dawn and SOMA. Both great games that any horror fan should play. Just finished SOMA last night and that ending was just..wow.

Bloodborne and Destiny Taken King Campaign, could have beaten Mordor GOTY but working on 100% and Plat so its taking a bit longer.

This month for me:
Dark Souls (oh god this game)
Lego: Lord of the Rings (had to play something more calming for a change after ds)

Mad Max
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes
Samorost2
Half Life 2 episode 1
Half Life 2 episode 2
Skies of Arcadia Legends
DmC
Bientot l'Ete

Wtf i was not counting them. I think i beat my record for beaten games in a single month (HL2 ep.1/Skies of Arcadia/DMC were already started). Best of the month: Metal Gear Solid 4/HL2 EP 2. Worst of the month: Bientot l'Ete. Started and finished Metal Gear Solid saga for the first time, in october i will play Peace Walker + MGS 5.In October I will beat also a couple of titles from backlog (The bridge/Zeno Clash 2/Mirror's Edge) and Hearts of Stone.

They added new knights?!

I'm not sure, but I think the purple one is the only new one. The pink once was free DLC from last gen and it's available from the start. I don't know if they added the main villain and the necromancer as they were paid DLC, but I'm gonna play it on insane and hopefully there's more to unlock.

Borderlands 2 - I bought this 3 years ago and I enjoyed it a lot, but when I moved back home to Germany a few weeks after release, I kind of lost my energy for this game. But after playing Tales from the Borderlands, I really had this feeling that I need to finish this game now, 3 years later. It was great, I had a good time.

Grabbing an "old" game and and continue where you left off, is something which happens rarely to me. It is so difficult to get beyond that barrier and connect again to a game.

Not sure if qualifies as beaten, but whatever. I abandoned these two games many months ago and a week ago I decided I should finish them.

Pillars of Eternity
It’s nothing ground-breaking and doesn’t bring anything new to the table, the entire game feels like Obsidian was playing safe. And it’s a great game, too combat focused for my taste but really good nonetheless.

Shovel Knight
I’ve never felt comfortable enough with the controls to play more than 20/30 minutes but it was a very good game, difficult enough to pose some challenge while not being frustrating. I’m now playing the DLC and loving it, the “new” character has some interesting mechanics.

Metal Gear Solid 1
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3

First time playing all three. After getting over the initial hump of MGS1, I was finally able to get into the franchise.

In similar news: The MGS Legacy Collection is excellent.

So lttp but NSMBU. Just gold starred all of time attack. I love this game, and I was not fond of the previous NSMB entries.

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (PS4).

Fantastic game which shouldn't be compared to Uncharted but rather....... TLoU. Just my two cents.

Bloodborne, I used the save exploit to get all three endings because I felt like it. Just Chalice stuff left if I want to get the platinum. I do plan to get the expansion.

Castlestorm on Vita. Fun, if not repetitive.
