Games You've Beaten in September

I beat

Resident Evil Revelaitons on PS4, finally after not engaging with it fully on 3ds. Which led me to finally finally playthrough all of Resident Evil 6 on PS4---but some parts with a friend co-op partner; it's wasn't that fun. And finally Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Solid game, love being in that world, but waiting for the next Last of Us.

I also played a ton of Zelda Breath of the Wild on swith, but I'm biding my time before I take on Calamity Gannon.

LEGO City Undercover
Amazing LEGO game.
Lots of jokes
Lots of movie references
A LOT to find. A Giant collectathon

Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Amazing game. Can't believe I waited so long to play it.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) - I've beaten this so many times now, and it's still an amazing experience. Can't wait to do it again with the remake.

Since I've had a limited amount of time for gaming lately, I only beat one game -- Life is Strange for the first the time, Man, what a ride. Two weeks ago and I still can't stop thinking about it. It's definitely in my TOP 5 of all time now.

September was an alright month considering how many games I started:

Vita - Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God
XONE - Sunset Overdrive
PC - Dreadout
3DS - Super Mario 3D Land
SWITCH - Kamiko (1 of 3)

Currently at 45 games for the year.

Gravity Rush 2 and its DLC
Affordable Space Adventures
Thumper
Splatoon 2
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

I also got pretty far into The Evil Within. I should have that finished sometime this week.

Not as much as I would've thought with my broken ankle, but...

-Sonic Mania
-Roundabout
-Westerado (Hero & Bro runs)
-Mega Man I (Game Boy)
-Stories: Path of Destinies
-ARMS (First time beating Headlock)

I jumped back & forth between 10 other games, though, so I made a lot of progress elsewhere. Somehow didn't beat Spla2n's story mode, though.

Beat two games and a short crappy expansion.

1 - Knack 2 / PlayStation 4 Pro
2 - Ruiner / PlayStation 4 Pro
3 - Sniper Ghost Warrior 3: The Sabotage / PlayStation 4 Pro

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door in an effort to 100% complete it as much as I can. Beat it a few days ago. Now am spending my post-game time trying to finish it off. I'd already gotten all the Star Pieces and Shine Sprites. Need to hunt down all the Badges. Only have one final Trouble left which I will get on my way through the Pit of 100 Trials when I finally tackle that. (As well as finish off my Tattle Log with Pit-exclusive enemies.) But for now I want to level up as much as possible.

On the topic of leveling up. Due to the way TTYD works in regards to levels, I've calculated it'll take me another 44 hours of non-stop grinding to get to the end of level 99 if I use the infinite bullet spawner canons in the Pirates cave. While the bullets themselves don't give any Star Points at my level, the game gives you at least 1 Star Point for every battle no matter what and with 100 Star Points per level it's 24 seconds per battle, 100 battles per level, 66 levels left. (I'm on 34)

If I repeatedly press the A button over and over, switch to Goombella and equip myself and my partner with damage boosting badges so Goombella causes 2 damage with every hit (Since I can't count on getting the timing correct for a second consecutive hit when just pushing A rapidly) then I calculate 24 seconds per battle from the beginning of one to the beginning of the next counting the delay between bullets. And I use the badge that prevents me from being hit with a First Strike so even if they do hit me first, I don't get any HP loss. Basically I end up never losing any HP or FP and can do it forever as long as my thumb doesn't fall off. If I had a Turbo controller I could do it easier and would only have to check on the game once every 50 minutes to choose my level up bonus. (Since the game stops when you get to it and pressing A won't do anything to prevent accidentally choosing the wrong bonus so I'd still have to turn off Turbo and choose a bonus before turning it on again.)

I don't know if a higher level will really matter against the top enemies in the bottom of the pit, but at least by that point I'd have so much HP, FP and BP that I'd be unstoppable and could shelve the game forever after finishing that. Then I can move onto finishing Paper Mario (The first one on VC) and follow it up with Super Paper Mario to complete the trilogy of Paper Mario games that are actually worth playing.

How's that for completionist?

Dragon Age Inquisition DLCs:

- Jaws of Hakkon
- The Descent
- Trespasser

To my surprise, they are pretty long. It took me 50 hours to finish them all. My favorite was The Descent, a proper dungeon which is actually better than most dungeons in the vanilla. Jaws of Hakkon adds another semi-open world map which is decent and well-packed. Trespasser adds conclusion the whole story of Inquisition.

- Witcher 1 6/10 (I've heard from the entire internet that the sequels are orders of magnitude better. Loved the choices and delayed consequences.)
- Hollow Knight 8/10 (Wonderfully fun to control and explore, but it needed a much better map system.)
- Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising 9/10 (I'm going into withdrawal from the death of this series.)
- Super Mario World: 10/10 (Tied with Super Mario Bros. 3 for best 2D platformer.)

Prey.

Amazing amazing game. Also finished Dishonored 2 for the 6th game, and am halfway through my 7th now. Gonna replay the first and its DLC before I pick up Death of the Outsider. Also wanna replay the Evil Within and play Wolfenstein for the first time in anticipation for their sequels.

The Evil Within & its DLC. Really enjoyed it and now I'm real excited for the sequel (maybe not day 1 since last week just murdered my wallet) so whenever I get to that I have high hopes.

Persona 5!!!!!!! Took me three months to do it but it's finally done. I had a blast and it will probably be my game of the year if Mario isn't amazing(which it most likely will).

I beat all my friends at ARMS today. That counts, right?
It will take me weeks more to beat Divinity: OS II.

Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) - My first "Warriors" game, it was very fun, though the inconsistent frame rate kept giving me a headache.
Yoshi's New Island (3DS) - Boring, bland, and uninspired. Do not recommend.

Just VA-11 Hall-A, this has been a very busy semester.

I beat quite a few in August, so I'm alright with a slow month.

PS4
Ghost Blade HD (platinum)
Senko no Ronde 2
Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth (platinum)
Yakuza Kiwami

NES
Metroid

3DS
Shin Megami Tensei IV

Finally beat a 3DS game after owning the system for over a year and half, while not counting the DS games I beat on it. SMTIV was perhaps the biggest reason I bought the system and it delivered, though I was disappointed by how easy the game was compared to what I've been hearing about it. This isn't the my first SMT, so I guess that's why.
I pre-ordered SMTIVA last year for only 20€, so I'll jump on that later.

I've never played the Metroid games, so I thought I should start with the first and and I really enjoyed it.
I started playing the virtual console version of Super Metroid, but it's 50hz, so I'll wait for my SNES Classic Mini to arrive where the game is 60hz.

I was finally able to play the first Yakuza with Yakuza Kiwami and it was pretty good. Yakuza 0 was way better, but that was completely a new game.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth was one of the best games of 2017. The prequel was already one of my favorites this year, but I liked this one a lot more.

Nex Machina
Dishonored Death of the Outsider
Marvel vs Capcom 3 Infinite

Uncharted The Lost Legacy.
Yakuza Kiwami.
Destiny 2.
Loved all 3, Uncharted The Lost Legacy might even be my GOTY.

Resident Evil 4 - Professional mode.
Uncharted 4: LL - Crushing run.
Mass Effect: Andromeda - tail end of playthrough at beginning of the month.
Destiny 2

InFamous: Second Son (PS4)
Sonic Mania (XB1)
The Wolf Among Us (XB1)
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (NS)

I actually really loved all four of these, would highly recommend any of them!

Darksiders: Warmastered ediiton (PS4)

That's it for now. I'm currently playing few other games but all are 40+ hours long, so I might not be able to finish them in ages.

Darksiders is dope though. I did get it way back when for PS3 but never finished it. Glad I bought this one.

- Mass Effect Andromeda

Started it when the game launched, benched it after like 18 hours and then continued it in September and finally finished it. Was a pretty good game overall, definitely not as bad as the masses complained it was. Really hope Bioware doesn't abandon the franchise now, it's still very dear to me.

- Nioh

Another game I started at launch and finally beat in September. I had a great time playing it, but felt it was way longer than it should've been and there was way too much repetition and "sameyness." However, the combat and overall gameplay was stellar, so I kept coming back to play it in short to longish bursts. Still have the DLC left, will probably finish that up sometime this month.
