More so this.

Beat any games in November? October was last month's thread (the image just shows the results, you'd be on next month's board)

Beaten:

- Deliver us the Moon
- State of Mind
- Enslaved Odyssey to the West
- Spec Ops the Line
- Bulletstorm
- Gray Dawn
- The Saboteur

Dropped:

- Call of Juarez Gunslinger
- Singularity

Completed:

Terminator: Resistance (Tayon, 2019). It has some flaws: like the AI, low difficult even on Extreme mode or the low quantity/variety of levels. But it is still a decent low-budget Borderlands clone and probably the best Terminator game ever seen, after Bethesda's SkyNet/Future Shock and, maybe, Paradigm's The Redemption.
Terminator Salvation (GRIN, 2009). Mediocre game. I guess all the GRIN's efforts in 2009 went to Bionic Commando and this project had far fewer resources. Short (2 hours) third-person cover shooter with horrendous videos, silly plot, clunky controls and a short selection of machines.
The Stretchers (Tarsier Studios, 2019). A fun mix of gameplay mechanics from other games. I'd say it is a Crazy Taxi version of From Software's The Adventures of Cookie and Cream with Human: Fall Flat controls. Two players gameplay is great but it is even more interesting when you have to coordinate yourself to control both players with each joystick.

I never drop a game but i have tested many more.

- Deliver us the Moon
- State of Mind
- Enslaved Odyssey to the West
- Spec Ops the Line
- Bulletstorm
- Gray Dawn
- The Saboteur
That was quite a month!

Beaten: Final Fantasy XIII

Gave up: Jedi Fallen Order

Fallen Order is just a janky mess with imprecise controls, bad camera and lock on, bad platforming, extremely questionable design choices. I had no fun at all.

Beaten:

- Man of Medan
- Pokemon Shield
- Star Wars
- MHW: Iceborne
- GreedFall
- Remnant from the Ashes

Should've participated in the October thread cause I've beaten more

Beaten:

- Doom 3 (Apocalypse DLC)
- Death Stranding

Dropped:

- Dragon Ball FighterZ

Digital Devil Saga 2

Fuck that stupid ass game. Its the same "game can decide to fuck you at any time" bs from smt. Except unlike smt games which are snappy and fun and give a rewarding sense of accomplishment as you explore dungeons, DDS2 overly complicates the method in which you, well, do anything. Want a skill? Your character has to connect nodes on a grid and you have to have unlocked at least one adjacent node to the skill you want. The skill itself costs money. Oh and you don't get the skill right away because now you have to grind ability points. You can buy multiple nodes but you can only ever have one equipped that you're earning ability points for and you can only equip new nodes at save points. Even Call of Duty has figured out a basic method of unlocking abilities, but Atlus was on drugs it seems during development.

latest

There are awkward underbaked game mechanics. Sometimes rooms you go into prompt a lame hunting minigame where random encounters are disabled and you spam the attack button running around hitting things. Your reward for doing this is a chance to fight high agility enemies who run away easily because fuck your free time. Also every now and then you get into berserk mode random encounters where your characters are strong but have low accuracy but you get bonus xp if you win but also they can only attack BUT ALSO your characters die in like one hit in berserk mode. Not making any of this shit up, that is a thing.

The level design is also generally piss poor. Some levels have neat stuff going on but most are bland corridors that have you pressing switches. For those of you who played Nocturne, imagine that but every dungeon is the Ginza Underpass sewer level.

I stuck with DDS1 because the aesthetics were cool and the music was great. But I'm not gonna punish myself for another 30 hours just to say I beat the second game.

Dropped :Borderlands 3 for the most part. I tried it out when the last big update came(which of course broke numerous things) but went back on hiatus. Look I love the game but I refuse to play it till they get rid of these f*cking ghosts . I swear I would love to be in one of their meetings to see who the f*cking moron is that comes up with these ideas and the a$$hole who okays it ,

Finished:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Finally got round to playing the game I backed, and it was better than I expected. I was expecting something not quite up to par with SotN, but it was much more faithful than I'd hoped for. I'm looking forward to the other characters being released.

Dropped:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
I'm going through my backlog, and this was installed. After continuing from an old save for about 25 minutes I got bored of the gameplay and encountered some stupid bugs that had me rising in the air unable to land until I was shot down. Not sure what finally made me put the game down, but I have no incentive to pick it up again. I've heard 2 isn't a better game than one, so I might just look up the stories and leave it at that. Oh, and QTEs. I don't miss those.

My favourite Thread.
For sure again I will share the games I beat and dropped, but not now cause I am outside.
Thank you for the Thread again!!!

Beat Nier Automata - took a little while but by the end of ending E I found the game to have lived up to all the hype, emotionally exhausting game for me, but in a good way.

Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3.

To briefly review each:

Yay!

Faeces.

Yay again!

Resistance 3 (co-op) and Sniper Elite 3. All of the above via PS Now.

Phantom Doctrine on Switch. Really addictive once it clicks and you know what you're doing. I immediately started a second playthrough which I never do these days.

Beat
LoZ: Link's Awakening - Felt like a slog; the dullest Zelda game I've ever played.
Astral Chain - Great combat, fantastic music, and a fun anime story.
SW Jedi: Fallen Order - Okay combat, good music, okay story.

Dropped
Disco Elysium - Tried twice and just couldn't find the fun in it.

Dropped - Outer Worlds. Initially I found the deeper rpg elements of the game impressive but the longer I played the longer I just found the game boring and story unappealing to me. Just nothing was driving me to keep playing other than the desire to finish a game and once I reach that point I know it's time to just put it down and let it go.

Beaten
The Witcher 3 + DLC - The quests and world design should be the new benchmark for open world games
Elex - eurojank everywhere and it's crazy hard for the first 5-10 hours but there is an amazing game behind all of it

Beaten:
Death Stranding - 7/10 - sorry, not jumping onto the hype train ;)
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - 7/10 - surprisingly good game for an EA title but not polished enough and not without (small) flaws
Goodbye Deponia - 6/10 - I liked the humor, locations and puzzles, but the ending ruined a lot of the fun for me
Layers of Fear - 6/10 - I liked some of the locations and slowly uncovering bits of the story, but the game relied too heavily on cheap jump scares, I also played the Inheritance DLC but absolutely hated it mostly because of the annoying puzzles and crayon world sections

Hello! My first post here.

I finally got my platinum in Sekiro after finishing the NG+5, that damn all skills trophy took a while, to do that I had to drop AC Odyssey.

I will try to finish AC Odyssey before 2020.

Also for the fourth time since I bought Rise of the Tomb Raider I dropped him, maybe next year I will try to finish him again.

Completed: Modern Warfare (2019) & Fractured Minds (Ok, the game was £1.99 and easy 1000g in 10 minutes) both on Xbox One

In progress: Death Stranding - PS4

Next objective: God of War & Man of Madan

Only game I finished was Astral Chain.

Haven't dropped any games. Still working my way through Sekiro + Breath of the Wild. I hope to finish Sekiro + Fallen Order this month. Maybe Fallen Order but can't see me finishing Sekiro. I'm stuck at a boss :(

Beated: Luigi Mansion 3
One of the most charming games i played, completed 100% with a friend on coop and loved every second of this game.

Dropped: World of Warcraft Classic.

I suppose i just got bored with the game after level 40+.

Beaten: Gravity Rush 2

Dropped: Days Gone*

(*although it's more like it's on pause because I found the game went on too long and need a break from it).

Beaten: Fractured Minds

Dropped: Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter (I'll come back to it one day)

I played multiplayer shooters mostly in November.
Dropped: Outer Worlds. I played dozens of rpgs in my life, all Fallouts but 4 included. This one bored me to death, quitted after 10? hours. I was constantly taking quests, reading boring uninteresting dialogues. After all that quest backlog, i asked myself "whats the purpose?". I didn't find any motivation to go on. Hard difficulty was cakewalk too, i had minimum 1000 ammo for each type of weapon. Combat was fine though.

Beaten : Death Stranding (loved it)

Dropped : Spiderman

Playing now : DMC5 after dropping it twice..

Beaten:
- The Outer Worlds
- Spyro 3
- Super Mario World
- Forza Horizon 4
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Garou: Mark of the Wolves
- Luigi's Mansion 3
- Pokemon Sword
- God of War 3
- Mega Man X

Wow, I was on fire last month. Some really great games in there.

Yep, I also dropped Outer Worlds (albeit about only an hour or so in).
I guess my expectations were too high, considering it was made by the studio that developed Fallout 1/2 (two of my favorite games of all time)
The world, characters, and gameplay were just too uninteresting. It just felt like another Bethesda open-world game...

Additionally, I dropped WoW Classic. Got to level 52, but I came to the realization that I don't have the time commitment for this type of game anymore.
Man... it sure made me wish I was back in high-school though...

Fucking beast mode.

I finally finished Dragon Age: Inquisition last night! I put in a whopping 180 hrs on it! It would've been slightly more, had I chose to finish off the final few side quests. (which I might still do, since I only have a small handful of side quests left to do)

All in all, the game was pretty good, though The Witcher 3 was better in every aspect. I think they put in too many side quests, which made it much larger and longer than it needed to be.

Beaten:

Dante's Inferno
Lollipop Chainsaw
Death Stranding

Dropped:
I would call it under progress, but low priority :messenger_grinning:

You should try fan made total conversion mods Fallout 1,5(great game, better than Fallout 1) and Fallout Nevada(on my list, great reviews out there).
Outer Worlds looks like a boring Fallout: New Vegas conversion mod. Missed oppurtunity in my opinion.

Beaten
Luigi's Mansion 3
Wreckfest
Castlevania Anniversary Collection
Blasphemous
Gato Roboto
Amid Evil
Gears of War 5

Sounds really cool! I'll be sure to give those a try.
