Web has been given an embargo by Nintendo to allow a near full print cycle to review the game. Sites with reviews up now probably haven't played the full game- certainly without Nintendo's permission

I live in the U.S. (LA to be exact) and I read Games TM all the time at Barnes/Borders. Surprised many of you Europeans haven't heard of it.
Despite Galaxy being my most anticipated game so far, I'm not going to cry if it gets sub 10 scores. Recently I've learned that it's best for me to play the game myself, because sometimes I find myself agreeing with the people who scored the game lower than what I thought was proper.

The only thing I can think of for the lowering of the score is that maybe the review didn't look at the game too critically or that it wasn't a groundbreaking experience like what was found with Mario 64(the whole going to 3d from 2d thing). Basically too much praising without raising any of its faults. Lets face it, no game will be perfect and if a game has some faults, they need to be addressed. I've read Games TM reviews before and they are always very critical of each game they review. They tell the bad and good parts of it. That's why I like reading their reviews(same with Edge).

Guys, Bioshock didn't get a ten from everywhere, Portal didn't get a ten everywhere, HL2:Ep. 2 didn't get a 10 everywhere, Halo 3 didn't get a ten everywhere- Super Mario Galaxy will NOT get a ten everywhere. It just won't. Hell, like those games, it won't even get a ten from a majority of sites. Why on Earth you people seem to expect everyone's opinion to magically agree for this one game is beyond me.

Regardless of what you consider perfect, I again say, Super Mario Galaxy is a PURE JOY MACHINE. It does not matter what gets GOTY, or what gets 10. When you play the game, scores are irrelevant as your smile grows larger and larger on your face and you realize how much fucking fun you're having. It is what you play games for.

Are these guys on crack or what? And as someone who's played a lot of both, PES pisses all over FIFA. The only better thing about FIFA is that it's easier to pick up and play. In other words it's more n00b friendly, but ultimately it's no where near as deep or rewarding.

They are a small time mag with minimal sales and minimal impact in the UK gaming mag scene. They are that cheap small and thin mag you pick up when you don't have money for the others. Trying to be stylistic and high and mighty like EDGE but failing miserably.

huh? i've lived in Japan for the last 7.5 years and i'm more than aware of GamesTM.
the reactions to review scores on GAF are becoming my regular source of comedy.

I've lived in Japan since 2000, and even I'm aware of gamesTM. I've even bought a couple of issues when visiting back home (I seem to remember a silver cover and Auto Modellista artwork?). It's a decent mag, but just because they give R&C a rank score, they get mud slung at them? Hive behaviour at its best.

huh? All the reports of the new PES from anyone whose opinion i actually trust are that the game has a ton of issues, and more importantly that the game hasn't advanced that much yet AGAIN.
The more "SORT IT OUT" messages that get sent to Konami , the better.
