Hi Gaf,

I purchased Nintendo Switch on September 1st from a Gamestop store. I did not purchased warranty at the time since I was trying to keep the price as low as possible. The store cashier told me that I can come back and add warranty, but was never a timeframe. Does anyone knows if it's possible to add warranty from Gamestop after purchasing console like the cashier said, if so, within 30 days or less than that?

When I worked there it was within 30 days but the better idea would be to call the store on your receipt and check.

Not sure about the rules you have in the United States. But where I'm from everything has a 1 year warranty, and you can pay to extend that.

Typically any store will let you add an extended warranty plan when you are still within the return period.

Yeah you have 30 days to exchange a product, so you're fine as long as you do it by the months end.

You're essentially returning the product, and rebuying it again with the warranty added to the purchase. The employee should also be happy as a pig in shit to sell you a warranty to up their numbers.

Make sure you bring your receipt.

If you dont have the receipt, make sure you go to the same store you bought the Switch at, tell them the date, register, and approximate time you bought it at. They can look it up in the journal.

When I worked at EB Games, it was 7 days to go back and buy the warranty.
