Over an hour

1 hour 20 minutes holy shiiiiiiiit,

i still remember people saying that the 6 seconds shown at the switch reveal werent from a nearly finished new mario game lol

im gonna watch this on chunks of 15 minutes

no way a 3 minute trailer expands to 90 minutes analysis, i bet at least 99% of the video's length will be spent on pure speculation.

i am going to watch BABY.

Dam son. I wanted to watch a movie later today but I rather watch this analysis instead, lol. I'm way more hyped for this game than Breath of the Wild.

"anyway, since this is an adventure that spans the entire planet, a central hub might not make a ton of sense based on the vast distances Mario is traveling. And sure enough, we see no evidence of one here either. Yep, even (New Donk City) appears to be just another level."

thank you my dude

because sometimes obvious isn't obvious enough for some

Well, Nintendo did use glimpses of a non-existent Legend of Zelda game to reveal the Wii U, so...
It was clearly marked as a tech demo.
It also didn't look like gameplay, the Mario one definitely did.
One of the strangest arguments I've seen in awhile.

"It might be a 3D World sequel" "I think it's a tech demo"
I have to question if those people actually know what 3D World is and why it's different from the previous 3D Mario games because the 6 seconds of gameplay made it quite clear.

That was pretty obviously just a tech demo from the beginning, though. We didn't see any new gameplay footage like we did with Mario, just a pretty looking CG cutscene based on an old game.

It's not obvious for some. I've watch YouTube videos and seen people say they think the city is the main hub.

I could be membering it wrong, but I thought it was shown without explanation in the sizzle reel, then revealed to be a tech-demo afterwards. I'm just saying the Mario footage possibly being from a tech-demo isn't an entirely baseless idea.

I really don't understand GAF sometimes, some people were even saying that it would be a 3D runner because mario didn't stop in the footage. The triple jump alone showed that the game would be different than 3d world.

Perfect 1st post.

I don't want to imagine how long the Zelda analysis trailer is going to be. Although it might be too late to make one.

yeah I remember the auto runner speculation

shit was stupid

This game looks aaaaamazing. I wonder what's up with all the DK references? It would be cool if there's an actual DK cameo, like Yoshi at the end of SM64.

Well I enjoyed learning about New Donk City, but I couldn't make it past 16 minutes because he gets into explanation I don't really care about.

But, again, there was no gameplay in the sizzle reel and it was it wasn't sold as a game either.
The reveal trailer for Switch had footage of Karen using the controller to play Mario.

FInished New Donk City section, that took it out of me. WIll carry on the rest tomorrow.

Now that they pointed out the electricity points in the level, it makes sense why the machine on teh top of the tower has a plug for a nose!
