Back on topic, but Amiga game disks were surprisingly aerodynamic in my youth.

Also, on Street Fighter my mate kept trapping me in the corner with E. Honda's slapping move, until in a fit of rage I leaned over and pulled his Quickjoy joystick asunder with my bare hands.
 
Never been a rager. Nowadays the most I'll get to is to release a loud "come the fuck ON" at the odd Dota match.

Shit's expensive and my temperament fortunately isn't the raging type. I feel sorry for the dudes out there shoving remotes up their butts.
 
The worst rage I've ever felt on a game was in Timesplitters 2. I was playing the Atomsmasher level on hard, and if anyone knows anything about TS2, they know how hard the game is on hard. Everyone in the TS2 community acknowledges that Atomsmasher is the hardest hard level. You basically have to be perfect. You need perfect aim, don't even bother unless you're getting perfect shots. Its also timed, and the time limit is not long. Well, I had made it to Khallos, and blasted him away. I needed to kill the machine, recover the time crystal and escape. I ran to the crystal when Timesplitters started to spawn. Now I had to race to each button. I think I only got 1 button before dying. At this point, I was so frustrated with the game I shouted out loud and whipped the controller off of my speaker. Luckily it didn't do any damage. Give it a few more tries, and I beat it. The next day, I finished the game, and found the Rad Racer cartridge. (Note: Its not worth beating the game on hard up to the robot factory to get Rad Racer) It feels quite good knowing I finally beat it on hard.
 
These days,I occasionally call a game the super-bad word and point out how awful certain parts are (design, programming, general developer incompetence).

Back in the day, though... I busted a couple Playstation controllers because (1) I hate those shitty Madden NFL games to the point the developers should burn in a trench and (2) one should never play Star Wars games that are designed around racing and big-headed characters because there is only despair where there should be entertainment. Racing against AI in any game is... a gamble.

Not so much raging anymore. It's unhealthy to get violent over video games.
 
As a kid I probably threw a controller or two, but these days I just stop playing if a game is making me feel frustrated. Try again the next day. :)
 
Trying to get Crucible bounties in Destiny. SMH, just thinking about some of them makes me pissed, like the Buckshot Bruiser one or Gunslinger.

I swear, half of those weapon-type specific bounties require you to have a gun with perfect stats for the job. I have yet to gain 10 Gunslinger Medals with Thorn. I've only managed to get one, ever.
 
The only time I can recall where I vented my anger on a physical object was when I was playing the newer F2P Tribes game with a busted mouse. It would turn off for several seconds at a time and get me killed. I slammed it down on my desk a few times in frustration, but to be fair, it totally deserved it.

In general, I do curse and yell a lot, especially when playing multiplayer games. In fact, if I'm not raging, I'm probably not enjoying the game as much I could be; it's part of the fun. I'm the same way with sports... and programming too, I guess.
 
I had a quite a lot of rage moments as a kid and can still get pretty angry at a game especially when I'm sleep deprived (which happen a lot during the week) so I don't play games like Ninja Gaiden on NES during the week :P
Most of the time I will stop playing before the situation get out of hand .

But last time was with Batman: Arkham Origins and I am not proud of it.

Back in the early 90s I got so pissed I slammed my SNES controller against me knee so hard the R button broke. After that I learned my lesson and just yell profanities at my TV.
 
The worst I do is simply cuss under my breath or pound my bed. I would never throw my controller. That stuff is way too expensive.
 
I have really bad gamer rage.
Ive broken a controller or 2 on xbox 360 and ps2.
The ps2 controller break was specifically satisfying because i threw it as hard as i could directly at a concrete floor and it exploded into 600 pieces. Lol.
The one thing ive never done but i imagine would super satisfying is throw my controller as hard as possible into my tv screen. I like to think i wouldnt do that, but man ive thought about it.

Most recently I was playing csgo (this game gives me rage like no other) and got pissed at something so I hammerfisted my mechanical keyboard. Literally every key flew off of it. Lol. It was funny explaining to my team why I was AFK... (Or WOK I guess ) because I had to put my KB back together. It works fine still. Ive stopped playing csgo as much.
 
The reason i don't play Diablo 3 hardcore is because im affraid ill chuck my PC out the window when i lose a 100+ hour character because of lag or something else not in my control.

Had to refrain myself from throwing my controller while playing Demons Souls.

Had some big rage moments in APB:Reloaded, where i actually scared off clan members. Got nicknamed Ragiebeast and that's been my nickname for 3 or 4 years now.

yeah that brought out the rage in me too, but likewise it was all just verbal.

tropical freeze is testing me right now too

the worst i'll ever get is punching a cushion or something, I usually recoup pretty quick and get back too it
 
The only game that got me close to throwing a controller was Ridger Racer 6 - the last 6 (I think it was six) master races required absolute perfection and a little bit of luck.

I wonder what my neighbours thought of all the swearing that day.

I played one hardcore character in Diablo 3 - lost them around level 20 or so due to a lag spike. Had a few second hitch in my character, then everything sped up and I was dead. I immediately closed the game and went for a walk and vowed to never play a hardcore character again. I can understand losing one legitimately, but to go down because of lag was just annoying. Would have been even worse if I had spent more than a few hours with that character.
 
Threw a controller as a result of not being good at Tekken Force for Tekken 3.

Destroyed a keyboard because of Skullgirls.

Destroyed a 360 controller because of Dark Souls 2.

I think that covers it!
 
No, that sounds like someone with serious anger issues. I just tend to cuss quieter than my speaking voice, and occasionally make a "WHY?!" gesture with my hands.
 
I've broken several controllers over the years starting probably with Sega Genesis. The most recent time I can remember is doing God of War challenge modes. I twisted two DS2's right in half.

Exactly. Imagine the rage if you have like a few nice legendary items and 100+ hours played. You would have to take a very long walk.
 
Most recent for me was three years ago when I played against Man Eaters in Demon's Souls. I was going melee against them, managed to kill one and damaged the second enough that I just needed one more hit. He managed to land a blow on me and I fell off the bridge. Hadn't raged in a decade or so before that.
 
I got incredibly angry with BF4 and all it's horrible online play. The worst it manifested it self was just alt-tabbing and uninstalling the game and hiding it from the Origin library, as if trying to will it out of existence. Luckily I've never been angry enough to destroy physical objects.
 
Worst I've done is yell at my tv and turn off the system. There's a little voice that tells me that I can't afford to replace things if I break them so that keeps me in check.
 
I knew a few "This game sucks!'' people, there's quite a few of those out there actually. I hadn't heard it in a while because I don't really invite people over for a gaming session that much anymore. However; I did go to a couple LANs and those guys had completely different taste from myself.

Their way of rage quitting was telling each other the game was literally "stupid" or they'd ask people in the game a question like, "why do you like this game?" or "Why don't you play Battlefield instead of Counter Strike?". Stuff like that annoys the hell out of me. Or the people who want precise controls in Dark Souls. I've seen guys quit because they accidentally fell off a cliff.. one time. That's been in the last two years. PC gamer(s) just want to make things hurt IMO. They want to get down to the point. Console gamers will just spam you with messages.

I've heard rants, I've had arguments, and I've put up with my fare share of hate e-mails. It sucks. I can see if it's a multiplayer based game and you've been exploited, but not if you just need to practice more. That comes without saying. You aren't going to win everything with hindsight. I feel better if I lose five times and win once or twice.

I had one guy send me a message one time "I don't care about a game". I guess it's a crazy monopoly. Which is why I don't get too heavily focused on multiplayer games. When I was younger I'd play MK3 and MK4 in the arcade and get destroyed. I'd sit back and do it again. Maybe I'll take more health away next time. It never made me mad until people put rhetoric into it.

Rage quitting anymore has a ton of rhetoric, anger, and sometimes crazy after effects. I didn't see it a lot until the guys at the arcade started pounding the machines after they lost. It's okay. Some of it is funny, but man.. you can see yourself acting that way. I'm not perfect and I've done it, but once in a while it gets out of hand.
 
I have only become really angry in games for two reasons:

1. Someone lied to me in WoW about being able to roll to loot something. I was begged to come on a raid. I helped them complete the raid. They refused to let me roll on the loot.

2. Any time I encounter a cheater in Team Fortress 2. I hound the fuck out of them until they either leave or are booted from the server. I only play on valve servers because I don't want any of my peers to have server advantages.

So basically when people lie and cheat. I rarely get angry at games because they are too hard.

PVP-server, Alterac Mountains... fucking Undead kept following me into this cave and eventually killed me. I punched my laptop that I had gotten free from school so fiercely - I destroyed it. Also: lots of keyboards, and a Steelseries mousepad

I've struggled with anger issues most of my life and games tended to actually help suppress the anger so I didn't have flashes of rage. Unfortunately, there were a few games that slip my mind that caused me to punch clean through a 3-inch thick wood table... and another time I literally threw my controller to the ground so hard it blew the fuck up. Safe to say those games were promptly never played again. Now I get frustrated and annoyed, but never to that point. I just walk away and stop.
 
Snapped my GBA in half after losing in the emerald battle frontier (factory) for the millionth time

I regret it so much, sorry GBA wasn't your fault. Damn it pokemon emerald get in my DS..
 
I bit my GBA SP once. And I squeeze my controllers as if I'm trying to break them but never completely do though.

But yes, I can rage if a level is being enough of an asshat.
 
Think I threw a NES cartridge against the wall once. One of the screws popped off followed by a moment of fear that I broke it.

Decided I'd just start swearing instead of breaking things that day..

(well alright, I punched our old PC's bulky monitor constantly, but that was because it was slow as shit and kept freezing while our computer time was limited. Never got actual damage by my wimpy punches anyway)
 
I got pretty mad during the final boss fight of DKCR, so mad that I kept trying and trying until I beat the game. Afterwards I was so upset that I went right to bed. Also it was pretty late at night.

That's about how angry I get when playing a video game.

I hated the stupid rocket portion before that boss much more then the actual boss.

Speaking of other rage inducing moments tricky treasures in Rayman Origins my whole hand was busted up after doing all of them plus land of the livid dead.
 
Don't know if this counts but I've been catching myself yelling "go up just....GO UP!" in particularly hairy situations while playing shadow of mordor when the traversal won't register and I'm trying to leg it from a group of orcbros. I'm afraid my neighbors may think I have some sort of erectile disfunction.
