I'm all for bans on ppl trolling or what some may feel is trolling although ppl are conveying their honest opinion based on owning diff systems and pr rhetoric...

When you ban a few ppl keep tht same energy with trolls from opposing views. It seems there is some rampant favoritism (and idc if recently some of those ppl recieved warnings). You have huge trolls like Mista (Def a clown must have a mod as a friend) , Arcadia, etc tht spew trolling nonsense and get free passes often. I'm not perfect, I own up to mine and if I get banned for this thts OK but it needed to be said

Stop the favoritism and moderate equally across the board. Let's not be Reset. This place was just as bad before the migration but I was happy it changed but I'm starting to notice things.

It's not easy being a mod. One day they are rampant Sony-fans out to ban all the decent Xbox posters and the next day they are MS-fans, fiercely protecting the very same Xbox posters.
 
While I get OPs point, it's not cool to put others on blast just because you got a temp ban for trolling. Email a mod or tag EviLore in here if you're that put out.
 
Here is the best place to discuss games.

You CAN make jokes, do some trolling...BUT the context, the way the person do, and his/her historic here its the factor of ban.

I think mods do a great job here, seriously.

I've been here on GAF for quite a while and I've never held my tongue, I can say I've been banned exactly 1 time and that was during the Trump election because people were mad I posted this gif after the results came in:

I was accused of being insensetive to the absolute MELTDOWN that was the election thread. Getting called racist, bigot, pos, etc. because I voted for Trump. When I got banned I was pissed because it was obviously biased. Took Neogaf to blow up before people realized how crazy Old Gaf was.

But, it does bring up an interesting point. Is moderation based on double standards? People are right to worry about that. I would say the answer is twofold.

1: I have had a number of warnings, as has Mista. Mods have specifically told me, if I don't leave ridiculous nonsense alone and stop being hostile towards it, I have a dark future here. So, there you go.

2: We're probably a lot more valuable posters than someone who grunts, emojis, console wars, and masturbates to Mark Cerny. Our failings are understandable, and often in response to excessive stupidity like this thread. You, and the people you cover for, don't have that excuse, nor do you enrich the site in any way, simply pulling from it like a parasite.

I apologise for the comment and tone, i was out of line with that. Regardless if my account is tagged for reporting and trolling, i honestly dont come here with the intention of "trolling" so hopefully i can last a bit longer and keep my account as i genuinely do like GAF and would like to contribute to decent discussion about actual gaming.

Just to clear things up, i was tagged like this cause i parroted the 9tf PS5 rumour that was going around in the speculation thread. I got bitchy about it then and got warned for that and thats why my account is as it is now. I lean towards Xbox too as anyone who can see my history will be able to tell. I'm not about hating people because they like Sony or whatever if anyone gets that impression, i mainly stick to talking about Xbox in Xbox related threads.

Apologies to the mods too if i derailed the thread with nonsense, i will now take my leave from this and leave it as is.

The crazy thing is, I pretty much have been worshipping PS lately, lol.

I love games and experiences. Consoles are the gates I pass through to get to them, and I think they're all pretty awesome. Like Mista, you can see me in every thread for every console, giving love to them all.

GamerNYC should know that, as I spent months in the Death Stranding thread.

Unfortunately, I called the warriors out for being warriors, and so did Mista. The cult doesn't like that. Dissent must be crushed.

I legit think Sony makes the best plastic boxes and I mean... I was one of those people who loved OG XBOX, I would argue the controller was perfect for people with REAL MANLY HANDS and that PS2 games looked ugly and their shooters were wack, Halo FTW all that shit. Then 360 and I'm like OH SHIT LOOK AT THESE "EXCLUSIVES" LIKE BIOSHOCK, DEAD RISING AND MASS EFFECT, EAT SHIT SONY TARDS OMG BEST CONTROLLER EVER OMG ACHIEVEMENTS? NOW I ACTUALLY WANT TO BEAT THINGS? OMG FUCK OFF. But like... I'm a shooter guy through and through and Gears 2 SUCKED and then Uncharted and Killzone and Resistance were all like "uh-huh, yeah, come to me!" and then TLOU came out and I'm like WHAT and then XBOX is like "lol it'll play TV shows" and I went PS4 EASY, man the XBOX "exclusives" this gen have been total PAP as someone who doesn't care about racing games. THE ONLY SOULSBORNE I HAVE YET TO PLAY? PS5 wins my money again. I mean, I won't miss anything, PC Gamepass is here for me to play really bad games like State of Decay 3 if that ever exists or like... Gears Tactics 2? Hey, beats mainline Gears right? Maybe Halo Infinite won't be as terribad as 5 and 4? That was fun to get that out of my system.
