Look in all seriouness, There was a time where I was stupid upset with mods here and I have aired it out and have accepted that sometimes both sides arent perfect. I have had my own freak out posts and looking back it was embarrassing as I was letting one fuck boy get me riled up on the internet.

While I don't always agree with mods, its not my call and its not my place to dictate how they do their duty. I believe they are very fair and they dont bring out the ban hammer unless they really think its necessary. We all post things that are trolly at some point but when you go out of your way to purposefully troll all the damn time like some people here who beat their chest for a corporation in strictly the fashion of having a pissing match, you need to be slapped back into reality. Mods very much seem to take into account users entire post history and don't let one thread dictate when a ban is needed.

I believe OP had something like 10 warnings or something at one point? Clearly there was an issue and 10 warnings is more than enough to give someone a chance to change their behavior.

Yeah, that's the thing. Mods can warn or ban you, or delete your posts, talk shit while they're at it, without the need of to show their identity.

Personally I just take any warnings and my one ban recently, but the system should show the name of the mod in question.

I have read through several bans over the last couple weeks and completely failed to see what they were banned over. The posts that are linked to in their bans seem like they are often not even deserving of a warning. This includes both Xbox and PlayStation fans.

Several of them either said a legitimate concern about something in a polite manner or actually got banned for just saying something good about one platform, while not mentioning the others.

It wasn't like this for a while, so I'm not sure what changed.

And I've seen some have their appeal bring down the ban time, but it still seems to me many don't warrant a band of any sort. It's at the point whether we are even allowed to criticize things we don't like or praise things we do like without upsetting an anonymous moderator.

Ok, thanks. I'll keep it mind. I'm not talking about myself specifically.

I actually thought about asking on others behalf, but I was worried a mod would take it as me trying to cause trouble and getting my own account in trouble.

Most of the posts that I read in the ban thread come from a long standing of someone expressing an opinion in a way that isn't productive in any fashion.

Evil with no disrespect. One time I was having a convo in general no disrespect to any person but it was negative against Xbox. Mista came made a post but didnt quote me and said harsh words when I saw it I responded in kind, I got banned but he didn't. Tht is very partial. Tht was a long time ago but my point stands.

I'll leave it at tht but let's be equal. Two ppl talk shit ban both. I'm with it. If u ban one then it looks like favoritism is in play.
 
At the end of the day, the mods were getting fed up of console warz, which has gone up a ton past few months for obvious reasons. I got 4 warning points for posting a picture of Phil Spencer laughing, in that Crytec 'employee' thread. I thought it was harsh as i had zero warning points in my time here, but if they are clamping down on the childish warz, then its all good. I would be way harsher if this was my forum lol.

You can always ask into bans and advocate on behalf of others in the Ban Justice sticky in off-topic. It won't be held against you.

I think the Next Gen thread is where that stuff should stay. And I am in favor of the change of console war bait style stuff not having a place outside of it.

For what it's worth, I enjoy you. You have a Sony bias, but I don't feel like you're unreasonable, or I can't have a conversation with you. A really fun poster to hang out with in threads.
 
The mods are biased, they like xbots. So I'll question their decision of banning me after 10 warnings given. I'll also question their decision of not banning Mista after giving him 1 warning.

Having lived in NY and NYC for most of my life( Military took me out for a bit) I can honestly say this NY keeps it "real" or "100" is total horseshit.
