Seems lower than the average was in the USA in 2010

April or May of 2009 seems the last time we've had comparable pricing nationally

I swear the gas stations near me are competing. I drove by a Marathon and it was $1.85. lol

And to clarify, I live in Riverview, FL (which is a small city near Tampa)

This isn't going to be a popular sentiment, but now is the perfect time to raise the gas tax. Falling prices means the perceived cost will quickly vanish, and god knows the highways need the money.

I wish they would do this here in Ruskin (about 10 minutes south). We just got under $2 a few days ago, but still haven't gone under $1.90. Luckily I have to drive through Brandon and Tampa, which has been cheaper for a long time.

Or you know, we could just actually use the existing gas tax towards the roads.

If you're in California it's because 17% of the refinery production was taken offline by the oil cartel

I paid $3.63 per gallon last night! :( And that's with oil being around $50 a barrel! WTF...

California is always a special case because we are an isolated market. We are isolated geographically due to the mountains & deserts and we are isolated due to our special california blend. And on top of that, we just had a refinery explode.

You can set your garden sprinkler system by the annual refinery explosion and unexpected maintenance shut downs

This is like the game prices in Canada that took forever to be equal to the American prices when the $ was equal for a while, then the second it shifts, the prices jump back up.

Our prices have jumped around 30%.

We're always special for one reason or another that ends up hurting when it comes to cost.

Gas went up $1.10 or so in the last few weeks.

Should have invested into long term fuel storage...

would have saved me a ton even if I had to deal with all the doomsday prepper garbage.

$3.07 for premium gas at Costco in the East Bay Area.

We're so close to sub $3 that I can smell the gas....

What? I live In San Diego and I filled up at Costco a few weeks back for around $2.25 for regular and we have the most expensive gas in the country. It's gone up since then though. I think it's back up over $3.

CA gas is the most expensive because of the taxes and because we have that ethanol GARBAGE put into it.

Paid like 3.70 last night in cali, made me think about this thread. It was a glorious short period of cheap gas.

Can't let those shale oil companies go under anymore now.

That refinery explosion was very convenient, ill have to agree

It's been on the rise again where I am (midwest US). The lowest I ever saw it get was $1.91...it was only below 2 for a week, if that. $2.44 today.
