Ehh, I don't see how that helps out Public Horde matches or if people don't care about their ranks.

* An issue where bots were unable to kick over a shield that was planted backward.

Aw fuck, come on, this made getting to wave 50 actually possible on shitty maps like Ruins and Hail.
 
So far I had lag free matches most of the time. The shotty finally works. Yeah, if it stays this way, I could care less about region filters (I think I played against some Americans too), the game is much more fun now. Good (but a little late) work Epic.

Too bad you cant patch people so they stop being idiots and assholes. I'm still for temp bans on early quitters (minutes/hours, not days)
 
A few of the "General Fixes", I thought were actually supposed to be part of the game. For example, still firing the flamethrower when downed I thought was a feature instead of a bug. Even a supposed exploit, like killing a ragdolled player without DBNO, I thought was part of the game. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary in that case except for shoot at the dude...lol

Damn, just goes to show how much Epic strayed from their original vision with this game's multiplayer with its initial release...

Wow, I had no idea the game has so many bugs.

One thing I wish they would add was bots if players leave. Such a simple feature makes a game like Lf4 dead much less frustrating. Not to mention switching the host so not everyone gets dropped.

I presumed that was just lazy conversion from PC or something and was just searching the player with the best connection or something.
 
Left 4 Dead 360 does not have dedicated servers. Valve did say they would add some eventually, though.

I always know when I end up as L4D host because I'm green in ping and everyone else is red and they start leaving.

thanks for the patch epic however the penalties for quitting aren't severe enough, lagswitching isn't fixed, host migration neither and two-piecing is actually MORE rampant now because the scrubs can't shotgun after roadie run.

yeah but I wouldn't have looked at it were it not for this topic. I stopped playing this game due to its shitty MP and now I know that it's been patched thanks to this thread. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
 
I played a couple matches.

It's still pretty much the same as it was before, except without the glitches. Can't expect much else since the patch fixed bugs but didn't make the networking any better nor do much game tuning.

Shotgun firing from the hip works now, but that won't change game play much since the shotty isn't as powerful as it was in Gears 1. Didn't notice much change in the shotgun otherwise - maybe hit detection is better but I couldn't really tell. My game was about a 2 out of 5 on the lag scale (5 being the worst).

Bah, I facepalmed enough when those other guys were saying that shit.. now I have to see it again. :lol

Either way, glad to see they're beginning to roll out the patches. They seemed to have fixed a damn good amount of the glitches which just drove me crazy.

all this is true.

why are they doing this? removed the ability to shoot after the roadie run.... oh man they are trying there hardest to bury this game.

Lag is rampant but you can connect to these type of games faster :P and two peicing is "alot" more frequent because of the shotgun nerf and no inclusion of a region filter sigh..

Fuck you Very much.

Chances are (and I'm guessing) your NAT is not open. Did that with my 360 (finally) and I get games on the fly pretty quick.
 
You are almost certainly never going to get host migration. That is a major change to an existing online code base. I'm not saying it shouldn't have had it orginally because it should have but patching it in there will be highly unlikely and if it does come it certainly won't be one of the early things.

Haha... So I wonder if the game is going to think everyone quits and penalize them if the host decides to quit the match.

Also, thank god they changed the frequency of the grenade respawns. Sometimes people forget that this game is a freaking shooter and use nothing but frags grenades the whole game.
 
Played several matches.

Highlights:
- My jaw dropped when I actually killed someone from the hip. 2 piece + hip fire is back.
- Pavilion is much better with reduced grenade respawn times.
- One match ended up being 5-1, host left one match.

All in all, much better experience, but the quitters and disconnections are still there (didn't expect otherwise).

Wow this fixed a lot more than I thought. I knew host migration wasn't going to happen so im not disappointed in that.

The quitting will subside once people learn that they are hurting their precious rank by doing so. It's the lagging, bridging, and stand by crap that will probably get worse before it gets better.
